Ferrari comes up with a New Logo

The Ferrari F1 team unveiled a new logo at Silverstone yesterday. The image above is the one made available from the Ferrari media portal. You’d reckon they’d take a bit more time to prepare something a bit better than a happy snap of a logo glued to a wall. Perhaps they’re too busy trying to work out how to keep up with Red Bulls and McLarens. To be fair, the new logo won’t be implemented until the 2011 season.
Anyway, back to the new branding, Stefano Domenicali explains why the team revealed the new logo ahead of the British Grand Prix, “We chose Silverstone because it was here in 1951 that Ferrari took its first Formula 1 win with Jose Froilan Gonzalez.
“Although revealed today, the new logo will make its debut next season, starting in January and will be visible on all elements of the racing department; the cars, team kit, driver race suits and all initiatives linked to the Ferrari Driver Academy, so that the new design will be linked to all future Ferrari’s racing activities.”

Isn't this very old news ? The logo was unveiled last year after there were complaints regarding the old logo resembling a pack of Marlboro. Ofcourse, the new one resembles it even more .

Now kartikeyan returns to F1 with Hispania. Some questions:

1. What is the status of Chandhok?
2. Can we not classify Karthikeyan as an also ran. He is unlikely to make any waves with a car which may be 2s a lap slower then the leaders.

Seems like you read a very old article and forgot to check the date. The article quoted by you was from James Allen's site and the date of the article is July 8, 2010. The logo was unveiled at Silverstone during the race weekend there.

Force India have not announced their drivers. Reports seem to indicate that Sutil will continue. The 2nd and test driver, seems to be a game of musical chairs between di Resta, Liuzzi and Hulkenberg. There are rumours that FI might buy off Liuzzi's contract.

I believe Chandok is now targeting a reserve role with a bigger team with a view to a race-seat later. He has stated that he wasnt convinced with their progress for the future. Besides, it is quite unpredictable - i wonder whether Narain will become a scapegoat during their musical chairs this year
