Apparently No! His contract ended in December 2011. He himself said that he would not be fit for the start of 2012 season.

I guess rallying has put his F1 career sideways!

That was a bad rumor started by twitter and spread through EuroSport France which is now spreading through all the F1 websites.

The secret person who tested for Ford in tarmac is said to be Marcus Granholm

The most recent article says that Kubica will be taking a 2 months break before he tests a Rally car with his friend Agostino Roda, as we speak he is currently under full rehab. He wants to come back to F1, but its not looking good for him!

Have immense respect for Kubica but his comeback to Renault is going to be hell of a task ! There are 2 factors that worry me :-
1. Who would be replace ? Grosjean and Kimi both are doing great and getting stronger by the race .
2. After any massive accident, the race pace of the driver gets impacted - would Kubica be any different ? Most recent example is Massa .

I hope that Kubica returns to his earlier form - a great talent

Kubica would easily be quicker than Grosjean, historically ofcourse.
Dont think he'l make it back in the near future though.. there was talk about if he could EVER make it back to F1. Sad. For any racing series in the world, F1 is the most physically intensive by a long way.

Massa's lack of pace is not down to his accident.. just not been able to get on top of the tires. The Ferrari was probably the worst handling car in the paddock. Now since they have improved it, you will notice Massa is much closer to the pace.

What is he doing testing a rally car ?
I don't think he's gotten too rusty to drive a f1 car. Hope he gets a full time drive in 2013. He would take just as long as Kimi did to get back to his winning form.

If Kimi moves out of Lotus next year (speculation), there is a candidate for Lotus, equally good. If Kimi does not move out, can Kubica be a candidate at Ferrari?

No idea on who is going where. Alonso and Kubica are great friends though.
