"Hello", says a Fin Geek from Bombay

Well, Lets get the job interview intro out of the way...
"I'm Nikhil Bhat, a 26-year old MBA (Finance) brought up and working in Bombay. A former techie, done my Computer Engg from Bombay.
I work in the Financial Services industry (I know it is a useless statement, will answer this question over PMs if required)
Blah.. Blah..."

Now for the Automotive stuff. Few points below (I just love bullets)
  • Wanted to be a rally driver while at school. Did research over the net, found out about the schools (Heck, I even practiced on the Colin McRae PC game every day!). Took print-outs and went to dad. Got an earful.
  • Lapped up the Auto section on HowStuffWorks during Junior College
  • During HSC(12th), told my dad that I wanted to do Auto Engg. Handed him print-outs showing that I almost secured admission in a Canadian college. Was taken to an education counsellor. She asked "You want to work in a garage?" "Hell, YES!!". Needless to say, nothing happened.
  • As a compensation, he allowed me to work in a Maruti Suzuki Service centre for a week during one of my vacations. Was an experience I still cherish.
  • Current work involves keeping track of the global Auto industry (Next best thing, i guess).
Also, my two favourite cars of all times (tied for first place): 1967 Pontiac GTO and the 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500
I have loved them since eternity (even before the movies XXX and Gone in 60 seconds). God I wish to own them some day...

So there it goes, was a car nut since I was a kid. Got a bike during graduation, enjoyed that too. But, do not prefer one over the other. Love both 2 wheels and four.

Oops.. And "Hi guys!"

Thanks man. Wouldn't blame him though because 9 and a half Dads out of 10 would have reacted the same way.

PS: Love the "Speed Racer" movie

Welcome Nikhil. No Camaro in the favourites list? You have to see a well-modded one in person to fall in love.

Hope to bump into you on some interesting discussion.

To be frank, I haven't seen any of these in person... They are just wet dreams...

And these were just the top rankers... The list goes on with the camaro, charger, corvette stingray, AC Cobra, evo VI, Skyline GTR, Impreza WRX, 350Z, etc.

Damn! I'm drooling already...
