Team-BHP - Ascari Drives In

Hey People,

I am Prem from Bangalore.I am a petrol head by heart but a chartered accountant by profession.I have been a car buff for as long as I remember and as a kid I would even observe various driving styles and techniques.I wanted to be an F1 driver but sadly that couldn't fructify.I started driving at the age of 14 by sneaking the keys of my dad's car and driving illegally around my apartment complex.It earned me a lot of notoriety but nevertheless I found the pleasures of driving too much to bother about such stuff.I am a keen F1 follower and a die hard Schumacher fan.My other interests are reading(mostly fiction),travelling and a movie buff.

As a family we love our cars and we have had an interesting collection of cars over the years(More to come later).Our car garage consists of the following:

1.2010 Mercedes E250 CDI Elegance
2.2010 BMW 320D Highline
3.2010 Skoda Laura 2.0 CRD MT Ambiente
4.2010 Hyundai i20 Asta 1.2
5.2011 Audi A6 2.7 TDI
6.2011 Nissan Micra

Of the above my stead currently is the Skoda Laura.Apologies for not uploading pics as I have been a bit busy with work.I hope to do so soon.

I am really happy to be part of this club and look forward to years of enjoyable and riveting discussions on all things auto.

Thanks for the welcome!

The nickname name Ascari is actually in reference to and inspired by the legendary Italian GP driver Alberto Ascari who won two F1 championships.
I mean no disprespect to the Ascari A10 though I find it's styling to be a little cheesy.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome.

I love all my cars.They fill different needs of the family.For Example the Mercedes and the Audi are our long distance cars.The Micra,Skoda,Beemer and the i20 are used by the family as city runabouts.However asked to pick a favourite I would pick the Mercedes as it is driver oriented and comfortable at the same time.Its steering is particularly delightful and the engine is a torque monster.The most important thing is that it is very composed on our roads which makes you drive it with a lot of confidence.

Guys Please find attached a few snaps of my garage.Will upload better quality pictures and my experience with these vehicles as soon as September ends.Apologies due but the busiest month for a chartered accountant is September so please understand.

When I saw the title of this thread, I started picturing a press-release and some photos of a new showroom with the Ascari A10 parked in the middle, a big red ribbon and a huge pair of scissors, and several photographers. :D
