ikon experience

Hi all,

My experience in ikon 1.6

Places where i had been at 160km/hr
- banglaore-mysore highway
- bangalore-salem-trichy

When i had been to mysore for dhasera with my ikon 1.6 rally sports, i had lot of compitators for my ikon, few to mention
honda city, santro and there were lot of scorpios who tried there level best to beat me but no way. The only best they can do is just follow me.
The only thing that surprised me was, after you cross 140khph you cannot expect a good grip from the vehicle. It skids if you apply sudden breaks. so i was careful enough, if i want to reach 160kmph i used to be was very careful.

The main thing i like my ikon is because of the initial pickup - it zooms man, for city traffic its compact size helps me get away easily.

I think no car in this segment is as good as ikon.

regards
rajs

It sure is fun to drive... Lovely free revving engine - I like the rasp too!..

I have had some severe Brake fade issues - esp under some emergency braking situations...!... more about that later.. Wonder if anyone else has faced that in an Ikon

Welcome Brraj.

If you do such speeds, please change your stock tyres. Get fatter rubber, preferably 185/60/14 with a high speed rating. These should be much safer for high speed driving and braking/grip.

Read the forum, there's wealth of information.
Enjoy.
