So, finally in my 3rd attempt got my membership approved! So thrilled I am!

I got gutted when my membership request was rejected the first time, didn't think that it could! But, yes, the truth is I wasn't totally serious about my answers, I wanted to join seriously but didn't know that the answers for the questions were taken so seriously. (Note all the aspiring members, here is an advice: All the answers and your English are indeed taken seriously!)

So the moment I got the rejection mail for my first, requesting me to retry, I started registering once again right away. Sadly, I went overboard; too flashy, too much attempt to impress the mods so that my request will be approved. It didn't! stupid:

So, the past 2 experiences had made me wiser. The third time, I decided that I would just be me and be honest with my answers. No points guessing, it worked and here I am!

Little about me, my name is Sumeet. I work as a Simulation Engineer (Crash & Safety) in Faurecia. Basically I am a team-leader for the Exteriors division in Pune.

Driving, it just makes me feel so relaxed and calm. I simply enjoy driving, to the extent that I have to face the ire of my dear Wifey for not letting her drive much after she recently learnt to drive. (She drives good by the way, unlike many drivers in Pune!).

I love riding my Yamaha FZ-16 as much as I enjoy driving my Santro. Well, not quite, as our good ol' Santro is getting a bit old and we are thinking of replacing it with a Grand i10 or Figo perhaps, by the end of the year.

My best and most enjoyable experience of driving a car was in France, when I drove a friends BMW Z4!

Apart from cars, I love reading, music (good ol' rock music) and enjoy trekking. Also like movies, (sci-fi in particular) and being a Maharashtrian living in Pune loves the Marathi plays.

Thanks again to the mods for accepting my request and making me a BHP'ian!

Looking forward to many more posts in the coming years.

Welcome on board.

See you at one of the TBHP meets !

Interesting area of work. Do share your insights !

Welcome "home" teemus (Sumeet) !
Would love to hear some of your insights in the discussions we have on various crashes.
Have a good time here and hope to bump into you in one of the meets here!
(We Punekars are really adept at organizing meets and promptly cancelling them :P ).

Thanks F150 and sajo! :)
Sure! Will be looking forward to the meets!
So typically what is the frequency of the meets (considering the cancellations and postponing etc.)?

Welcome aboard teemus. Would like to hear more about your work front. How is it done, what are the measures etc etc.

The frequency of the meets ranges from 2 weeks a month, to 1 meet a year!
Cant, for the love of god, remember the last time we met.

But, keep a watch on the thread (its called Pune Tapri meet, or something like that), cause something may materialse.

Welcome aboard Sumeet/Teemus. Believe me you are going to love it.

I am sure you already got it from the mods but make sure to read all rules about posting and using the forum. The mods are really strict about that too.

Hope to see you soon on a Tapri meet ( I still have to attend one, I always have something come up which makes me miss it.)

PS: Nice job you have.

Thanks for the welcome Swanand and Jaygeetee!
I am indeed looking forward to the Tapri meet. Tapri is kind of a cool and typical Puneri name, I must say! clap:

Welcome Teemus. I was wondering what your username signified and finally got it :D
