Hello from a native of the southern tip of India

Hi Team,
What a great day it has been - Received a membership approval on my kid's 9th month birthday !!
I am Venkat also known as Hari sailing through in the late thirties.
I am basically from down south (Nagercoil - Kanyakumari District).
Did my schooling there, moved to Thiruvananthapuram for my college and then to Chennai for further studies.
Currently I am based out of Bangalore, working in an software product based company.

I am supported at home by wonderful spouse, who does not know the A-B-C of Cars, except that her hubby owns one and a wonderful son who just turned 9 months yesterday.

I have been a devotee of this forum ever since I decided to buy my second and my current car - the Swift VDi. This "mine" provided me tons and tons of information in owning and doing some little “mods” to my swifty. Been trying hard for the last 3 years, but have been lucky today (kudos to my son).

Vehicles I have owned
Hero Honda CD 100 (1999-2003) - Sold
Hero Honda Splendor (2003-2006) - Sold
Honda Activa ( 2005 - ) ~ 20000 kms
Hyundai Santro Xing XL (2006-2009) - Sold
Maruti Suzuki Swift VDi - (2009 - ) -63000 Kms

Having the itch to upgrade to a better spacious car thanks to my son's arrival to enable carry his little kingdom wherever we go. Still contemplating, nothing finalized yet. May be this membership approval will take me there.

Truly amazed and overjoyed to learn a lot from this forum and also give my humble contributions.

Cheers
Venkat a.k.a Hari.

Great to see someone from 'Naroil' - I, too, am a 'naturalised' citizen of Nagercoil

Welcome and have a great time here

The moment anyone reads/hears about Nagercoil, they'll be reminded of the winds and the wind mills! I still remember hanging onto my motorbike during a ride to Kanyakumari!

Welcome to Team BHP and wish you a pleasant stay here!

Very warm welcome to the forum Hari. I am also a native of Kanyakumari Dist. But now I am settled in Navi Mumbai/Pune. I go to my (our) native every year to visit my parents. This year I plan to go driving if time and situation permits.

Thanks all and hoping to have a memorable, valuable and extended stay here.
Forgot to include in my first post about my handle.

I am a big fan of Richard Hammond of TG and decided to have his a.k.a as my handle.
