Hello all.

I am an oilfield engineer working in North Sea area and living in London since 2010. I am married to a French national and she is a teacher here in London, so i commute to my work (4 week on 4 weeks off schedule) from London at the moment. We also have a 2 year old son

Now before i got married, i was working in Mumbai for one of the MNC's doing specialised services for ONGC. I have never owned a car in India, i drive my family's car which is a Hyundai Santro when I am in India. With my work I have travelled and worked/trained in a few countries and have some good driving experiences, the best among them - a road trip in US from San Fran to NYC. I own and drive a VW Golf here in UK and was thinking about upgrading this year to a Land Rover. But then, the plans changed and I have finally convinced my wife to move back to India, where I think we can have a better life and I can enjoy the rotatory nature of my job more.

With this decision finally taken, I started looking at Indian car scene and going through various reviews and this is where I found team bhp!!! I loved the site the moment I found it and from then, I have been a regular visitor, checking the latest new, the reviews and the travelogues.

I am from Chandigarh and coming back this Oct and looking forward to buying my first car in India!! I am sure team-bhp will help me make up my mind and I can get some clarifications from the esteemed members.
