Hello everyone,
Would like to start my contribution to this forum by expressing my sincere gratitude to our moderators for opening the doors of T-BHP for me. Thank you all. Feel immensely happy and proud to be member of this family.
I am a 1981 model (33 years of age), working with a bank, based in Bangalore. Apart from my wife and son, my life revolves around one more person – my car. Currently, I own and drive a 2009 model Hyundai Accent Executive. I learnt driving on an Ambassador initially and then moved onto Maruti 800. I did find an early answer to the question - How to drive. While I did evolve into a car loving person, its after i came across team-bhp, that I became more expressive on the question – Why we drive.
I look forward to an exciting journey of productive discussions and events with this group from whom there are lots for me to absorb and learn; there by enabling myself to add value to our group.
I can now feel the revv! And I love it. :)
Welcome sir on board! Good to have you here. BTW, Nice title for an intro.
Have a great time and hope to see you active out there. Do go through the rules once if you haven't.
Anurag.
Welcome Accent Martin to Tbhp!
Now I know the reason behind usage of "Accent" in your forum ID, you are a proud owner of the Hyundai Accent. Is it the Executive model or the Viva?
Have a great time here and we all look forward to delightful and intelligent contribution from you from now on.
Do share some pics/ report of your Accent with us soon.
Drive safe and take care.
Akash
Thanks Anurag, Akash,
Will give a report on my Accent Executive soon
Cheers,
Welcome to the forum. One of my former colleagues used to say, "we can have 4 flats in a car, but you can only have one flat in a flat (apartment)".
Welcome aboard Accent_Martin! Nice handle that :)
I have a soft spot for the Accent which was the first car I bought all by myself. I had a grey GLS that I drove for 7 years. What model is the "Executive"- I forget.
Anyway, time to hunt down a new car, perhaps :D Do scout our "What Car?" forums if you need to. Looking forward to seeing your threads.
@Accent_Martin,
Welcome aboard sir.
Accent_Martin ala Aston Martin :):) cool one.
And your intro also looks short and crisp. I too own a hyundai Accent which I bought 3rd Hand. Always love it and still maintaining it as it was the first car I bought all on my own.
Thank you Deepak, Noopster, Karthic, :)

Executive is just an extension of GLE that went out of production in 2009. Few changes that I believe to have taken place was the marginal increment in bhp by 2 horses. Don't know if that made a difference. Executive got a different shade of grey unlike the midnight grey of GLE. Both had leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel.
Its as good as saying - 'Same difference!'
Yes Noopster, will be immersed in 'what car' forums for a longer period :D
Thanks again.
Nice handle, nice profile picture and a catchy tagline for the intro. Liked it.
Welcome to tbhp.
