It feels great having received the much awaited "Team-BHP membership approved" e-mail and be an active part of this prestigious forum. I visit Team BHP almost every day, and I have benefited from the community very much, especially from the threads under Team BHP Advice, Street Experiences and New Car Reviews.
I am 29 years old and I currently live in Coimbatore, which is also my native. I work as a Software specialist here.

I currently own an Alto 800. The purpose of this car is to move around within in the city with my infant and my wife comfortably (compared to an auto or a two-wheeler).
To be honest, my interest in automobiles is newly found, and Team BHP is heavily responsible for nurturing it.
I put safety as my priority in driving, and I leave minimum one or two car lengths of space in front of me in the city. This also allows me to maintain a comfortable speed without much braking. In highway, I accelerate slowly and keep a steady speed as much as possible to make the travel comfortable.

Previously I owned a Karnataka registered Bajaj Pulsar 135LS, which I sold while leaving Bangalore. In the near future I am looking for a utility scooter like Activa, and later in 2017 first half, an upgrade or an additional car for myself :).

Looking forward to interesting days with Team-BHP!
Warm Regards.

Greetings and a warm welcome from a fellow BHPian. It's very heartening to connect with someone like minded, for whom safety comes first and always while driving. :Cheering: Safe driving is the very essence of happy and joyful travel. As responsible BHPians, it should be our earnest endeavour to practice safe driving at all times, and to encourage other road users for the same. Sincerely hoping to hear a lot from your side about your travel and driving experiences through this wonderful forum.

Regards :)

Thanks for the welcome, ssambyal1980!

Though the popular opinion is, driving is a horrible experience in today's traffic situations, we, as BHPians, should enjoy it, right? And I have found that one of the ways to keep our cool and enjoy our ride is to leave a safe distance and drive for ourselves, and not try to compete with others on road.
What I have found is that, there are actually more peaceful drivers on road than we would admit!

Warm Regards.

@hybridpetrol Couldn't agree more with you. :)

Of course yes. As the famous Team BHP quote goes, the BHPians 'LIVE TO DRIVE' with safety.

Absolutely!!! Most of the people on road adhere to the traffic rules and regulations but nonetheless there are instances when we come across some rude and undisciplined drivers. In such cases the best way out is to avoid the confrontationist attitude at all costs. After all nothing is personal on roads, road rage is momentary, which should be nipped in the bud. Courtesy begets courtesy.

GODSPEED:thumbs up

@ssambyal1980, Well said!
In our hurry, we should not forgot what "Give way" means in traffic. If we practise this one traffic principle, we can yield, and let the road rage dissipate into nothing.
Thanks for your kind reply and warm welcome!
I look forward for a great time with Team-BHP with interesting stuff to read and interact with our members!

By the way, I see a number of cars here in Coimbatore with Team-BHP stickers. Are there any meetings happening on regular basis here?

Warm Regards.
