I am simplehuman and I am from Kochi, Kerala (A "coconut oil in the hair, home grown malayali")

Have been following Team-BHP for a long time as an active visitor (a decade maybe) and have much respect for this forum, its wealth (you) and how its run. Thanks to the mods, now I have the privilege to be an active "member" too.

An Innovation Program Manager by profession, I work with one of the Big 4 accounting firms and have been leading the Global IT Innovation team for a while, now, recently took on the role of leading the global pilot around intelligent/smart buildings enabled by new and emerging technologies. So, in that sense, I am somebody who has interest in all things technology.

By way of cars owned, we have had a few cars at home through the last decade or so. Listing them here

1) Maruti Omni (2005-2007)
2) Maruti Alto (2006-2013)
3) Fiat Palio 1.9 D ( 2009-2010)
4) Ford Figo (2010 - to date)
5) Honda Brio ( 2013 - to date)

Next in line:

1) Jeep Compass D Sports ( booked..expected Jan 2018)
2) Tata Nexon 1.5 Diesel ( actively thinking about it .. possible by Nov 2017)

I hope to be able to use my privilege as a member to actively seek out, ask and learn from you all while also contributing to this community in ways I can.

First of all, congratulations on the booking of the Compass. Curious as to what was the waiting period quoted to you at the time of booking?

See that you started out from the humble stable of Maruti Suzuki. An upgrade to the compact sedan seems like a perfect option for you.

Would love to read your experiences with the hatches that you have owned and also looking forward to an ownership report of whichever car you choose finally.

Four Months, by Jan 2018, we also have a personal dependency as this will be registered in by brothers name when he comes down for vacation(Dec-Jan)
