Well, we had a Skoda Laura L&K in the family. It drank more money than fuel during the fag end of my ownership of her. I believe the electronics of the early generation skoda were not robust. I was lucky I was able to sell it on time - the gearbox gave up on the new owner after about 6 months! Not so lucky for the new owner. Feel sorry for the guy, but he knew very well what he was getting into. New age Laura / octavia are far more reliable but less tough than the Ist gen Laura. Life is Good! SK |
