Team-BHP - Am in now - Membership approved

Hi Folks,

I was having a very bad day at office and all around. Finally on reaching home the bad day continued - but then I saw the mail - Team-BHP Membership APPROVED! and felt at last a single good thing happened and this good news covered up the entire bad day chapter and it ended in a good note making me fully charged and upbeat.

This is xway - a techie from Delhi NCR. My interests are cars, travelling, technology and music. Someday would like to retire in a place where there is sea, rain, mountains and clouds. City life is good to make a living, study and pretty much a lot but the peace and serenity of nature cannot be matched.

Have been a follower of the forum since my search for first car began and that was more than a decade back. Applied for membership in 2013 which got rejected and I was dejected mostly because my ego was hurt. Gave up the forum for some time but love for cars got me hooked into it again and I again became a silent guest of the forum and devouring each and every article daily. I even subscribed to the rss feeds and read it offline.

I did not feel like making an attempt for membership but one day I just felt like writing the answers and it was a natural flow and I applied again after a gap of 6 years and after 4 days got the mail of approval. I feel the sincerity and authenticity of writing makes the bond and connects.

So the journey begins and will enjoy the new found freedom of commenting, sharing, enjoying on one thing that connects us all on this forum.

Welcome to the family. I suggest you use up your apprenticeship period getting to know the ropes. Due to the approval/moderation delays your posts do not appear immediately so refrain from getting into fast evolving discussions. Also, get the learn the system. Very soon you will find out the active posters, those who contribute (need not be the same as the previous lot), the technically savvy ones, etc. You will also see the writing styles.

The name of the game is to merge in fast, and not make too many waves in the beginning.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I particularly liked getting the same handle that I had initially applied with around 5 years back.

xway -meaning X i.e. intersection and way meaning paths/roads - am sure we all love automobiles and the roads and crossroads - so it holds a special meaning for me.

I have been following the forum since a decade and do know some active members like sgiitk gto to name some.
