Hello everyone, it gives me immense pleasure to introduce myself to all of you. First of all, i thank our moderators to let me be a part of Team-BHP community.

I am Dr. Pavan an Orthopaedician by profession. I am 30 years old. I stay at Vijayawada. My family is into politics. I did my under graduation from Manipal university, that is when i got to know about Team-BHP from my friends.

Since my childhood i enjoyed looking cars on the road. I used to spend a lot of time in the neighbourhood garages ( in the mid 90"s when there were really service centres provided by manufacturing companies ). I love driving a lot. My first car is Santro xing erlx. My parents provided the car after i completed my M.B.B.S first year, in the year 2007. I love especially driving in rains. Those who stay in Mangalore and Udupi will know about the rains especially during the 2006-10 period. I used to drive from Manipal to Vijayawada in a santro covering the shiradi ghat non-stop.

Manipal to bangalore - starting time 5 p.m - 1:00 a.m
Bangalore to tirupathy - 1:00 - 5:30 a.m
Tirupathy to vijayawada- 6:00 - 12:30 p.m

I shared the above to mention how much of love i have for driving.

Coming to the cars which i have driven - Maruti Zen Di, Santro eRLX, Swift Dzire, Renault Duster, Chevy Cruze. I am one of those who study the owners manual thoroughly before driving the car.

I used to follow the forums since the time i was in Manipal. I was rejected for becoming a member "n" number of times. How team-Bhp played a major role in my life for being a safe driver is - I have followed the Accidents in India thread all the 1800 pages. If you really follow the discussions going on that thread, you will know how to spot bad drivers, when to slow down, and a lot of stuff.

Finally am happy to be here with you people to learn more.
Once again a big thanks to our moderator GTO for providing me an opportunity.

Dr.Pavan:)

A warm welcome from one doc to another. I'm sure the addition of car crazy docs lends a more human touch to our, now deteriorating, image :D . Your non-stop drives were amazing and i'm sure you have fond memories of those trips.
Once again, welcome aboard. Do take a look at the below mentioned thread as i'm sure you will be invaluable with your advise as an orthopaedician, to fellow BHPians.

Thanks Hellzboy, am excited, the first welcome reply post is from a doctor, I will be helpful to our fellow members as an Orthopedic surgeon as well.
And yes those drives in and around manipal during student Life are experiences for life time.

Welcome to your new family Dr. Pavan.

I'm a resident of Manipal so I guess you are a past guest of my hometown. Do drive down here sometime and see how much it has changed since the time you were studying here. There are at least 10 other bhpians here (that I know of), including a moderator. :)

Read up on the rules (if you haven't yet), be polite, share knowledge and make yourself at home.

Thank you samaspire sir, happy to receive a welcome from you. I was in Manipal from the times where Udupi- Manipal road was even without a marking and before the 4 lane was laid. I stayed in the lane next to the Bajaj showroom in Lakshmendra Nagar. I visited Manipal last in 2016 and was shocked rather than amazed to see the changes. The Manipal which I remember in my mind has a different charm. I had travelled to Goa, Karkala, Kudremukh, Agumbe, Mangalore, Dharmasthala, Kokke, Idagunji, Sringeri, and a lot many places during my under graduation.

Yes sir, I will follow the rules and maintain the standards of Team-BHP.
