Greetings from Indonesia

Hello everyone, Timsky from Indonesia here. I got here from googling some automotive articles, and luckily my office net doesn't block this forum, so here I am!

I currently work as Metallurgist on a gold mining company near the Indonesian-Papua New Guinea border. Here are the cars that I own:

1. 2011 Toyota Corolla 1.8 (own)
2. 2012 Ford Ranger 2.2 TDCi (driven everyday at the jobsite, its the company's) - its an offroading experience everyday

My main automotive interest is car detailing. Hope to share and see some detailing works around here!

Welcome aboard, Timsky.

Accounts from friends/family who've visited and even the travelogues on the forum speak very highly of the island nation; the pictures and experiences are so enticing. I look forward to visiting!

See you around the forum; we'd love to read more about the country and your experiences!

Welcome Timsky, good to have people from outside India also joining up, it's always great to get perspectives from others about the auto market and vehicles offered in their countries.

Your passion for detailing shines through (literally!) on your Corolla

This thread has been the general go-to discussion for detailing, while this one and this one are more step-by-step and oriented towards someone dipping their toes in this (although it might be too basic for you).

We'd be thrilled to hear your detailing procedures as well, so feel free to contribute a thread!

Re: Greetings from Indonesia

Welcome aboard buddy! Great to have you with us. Our countries have some cars in common .

Question: Why do the Indonesians love MPVs so much? I remember reading that MPVs account for like 40% of car sales in your country (in India, it's 13%).
