Hi everyone

I have just become Team-BHP member and this is interesting way to start 2019.

For a short introduction, I enjoy driving and seeing places. Have interest in automobile technologies. Driving since 1995.

Currently using Hexa XM 4x2 and Scorpio 4x4.
Before this drove Innova for 11 years.
Also owned and drove Fiat 1100D, Maruti 800, Indica and Beat.

Many long drives. Recently did same day Kolkata-Delhi.

Other enjoyable drives have been Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Ujjain, Narkanda, Varanasi, Lucknow, and countless visits to Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal and Uttarakhand. All from Delhi and back.

I am based out of Delhi NCR. Working in a software MNC as Director.

Looking forward to learn from and contribute to this distinguished forum.

Which Scorpio, W105 [end 2014 onwards] or the 140 bhp one, or the VLX?

Hexa should have been the AWD variant as well, no...?

Welcome to Team-BHP, would be nice to read your experiences regarding your drives and your SUV's, hope to see them soon.

Re: Hi everyone

Thanks for asking. Scorpio is 2016 model 1.99L S10 4x4 120 BHP.
4x4 are not readily available. Booked one in Dec 2015 but due to ban on SUV in NCR that got cancelled. Then came below 2L engine concept and could buy this in Jun 2016 after 2 months waiting.

I somehow do not like AWD as I feel it will not be useful like 4x4 in real difficulty. For regular highway and even bad roads, regular Hexa Varicor 400 engine has more than enough power.

Scorpio is there for ice and tough hills. So, decided to buy 4x2 Hexa else maintenance cost would have been high with not much use.

Yes, will share some experience with photos.

That's quite impressive. Which vehicle did you drive for your one-day drive down to Kolkata and how long did it take? In fact, my aim is also to see my country close up and I go out on drive tours.

Welcome once again.

Re: Hi everyone

It was Scorpio. Started 5 am from Behala, Kolkata. Reached Noida, NCR at 2 am. Lost 3 hr in traffic jam at Chandauli before Varanasi. Only stops were for refuel and lunch and I think 15 odd toll gates.

Nearly 1500 km in 21 hrs with jam and stops. Actual running time is 16-17 hrs.

Will post a detail with pictures when I get some time.
