Good evening Team-BHP or is it Hello Team-BHP (Silence of the Lambs)?

After being on the sidelines for eons, finally here. That's a monkey off my back.

Dr. Abhishek Gaurav MD (medicine) PhD with various fellowships in Diabetics and Endocrine. About 40 years old and now with (hopefully have enough in bank to have a dream garage).

Vehicle history (Parental): Premier Padmini, Maruti 800 (SB308 1987), Wagon R, Ritz Vxi, Maruti Baleno (Delta) to my own Jeep Compass 2.0 MT Ltd Plus :loveit

Was also a wannabe biker in college days. Bought a 3rd hand Royal Enfield 350 std 1979 cast iron. Now in need of lots of love and care.

Other than this, spend a lot of money and time pursuing my primary love for photography. Was in Canon family, moved to Sony 7iii. Wildlife, birding and landscape, and when bullied wedding photography for friends and family.

If time permits now also try my hand at console gaming (xbox family). Prefer FPS (Farcry / Assassin creed / Fallout / Halo / RDD etc.).

Been in various parts of the country - born in Muzaffarpur Bihar, schooling in DehraDun, collage in Nepal, postgrad in Bijapur, Karnataka and for the last 7 years in Gurgaon.

“Nothing makes us more vulnerable than loneliness except greed”.

So cheers and how you doing?

Welcome, doc !

Varied interests there, and a bit of moving around too. I think you will find enough threads to contribute and spend time on.

College in Nepal ? Interesting. How do PG admission rules here work when graduation is from Nepal ?

I dont think Guidelines, rules etc are new to you :) .. and if you have crossed the threshold of membership you would already be familiar with TBHP rules.

Enjoy your drive here, and have fun !

Cheers !

Welcome here Abhishek ! Please do go through the Forum Rules .

That's an eclectic mix of places you've been to ! A small rundown of your experience studying in Nepal would be nice. Pictures would be even better !

Hope you have a fruitful time on the forum. Given your experience and areas of expertise, I feel that you can contribute significantly at the Medical Consultations thread , and please do, freely. :)

Drive Safe .

Cheers !

Welcome on board, Doc, and a very good morning to you.

Which college in Nepal were you in?

Medics don't make enough to own a dream garage, unless they dream really small! :D

Some entry that, Doc.

Two of us mentioning the TBHP rules section, and the mods actually applying it to your post :). Wondering if the short-cuts usage in professional writing has influenced you more than expected.

Hello all ; sorry for the delay in getting back. Vaccine rollout has added another layer of paper work to already hectic schedule.
Well i guess Alexia must be strong to skip or unable to recognise SMS language or poor construction , my bad will keep an eye out now more than ever.

I did my MBBS from Nepalgunj Medical Collage , Nepalgunj , which is at the border with India from UP side. And it has been 20 years to date form my admission , the rules have changed with respect to admission and recognition from foreign university, to which i have not kept up. However from what i gather from the youngster you have to apply to the Medical council of India after your 12 that you wish to study in XYZ collage , get a NOC to study outside. Sadly none of the MBBS degree are recognised back home and you have to clear a Foreign National Exam to be eligible for registration in India.

My postgrad is from Bijapur ( now Vijayapur) in north karnatka.

And as for dream garage , you would be surprised to what some doctors can make

Cheers gentlemen
