To start with, this name. It basically means an enclosure of water in which there is life. So it's us, we all are 70-80% water. Try thinking of yourself as that and mind you, it's water, not beer. I came across this while reading an old Darwin age book on natural history and evolution.

Coming to Team-BHP, I just came across it while casually browsing, was not immediately attracted to it, but it was in my browsing history. So I found it relevant when I was to buy a car - my first car (Chevrolet Beat) - I mean my first car in which only I had to make the decision .

"A little intro"- I am a Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. I repair commercial aircraft (like Airbus and Boeing) for a living. Thus, I am aware and focused on the mechanical aspects. I read all reviews (was Dec. 2009) and was actually very impressed about how the car was in sync with the review (but the impression was short-lived).

4-cylinder NA engine , funky ODO (did not like it) and great handling, the decision was made. I still did not think twice about how the review matched the car. It bought a smile during an overtake and that was enough for me. Now, within a month, two of my friends bought the same car. Both were Team-BHP readers.

I read the review again and the follow up posts, since it was my 1st personal machine. I was a mechanical guy, so I read in detail all that was written about this car. I noticed the fairness and genuineness in the review. I felt it happening to me in the car. So, here was a group of people not trying to sell anything.

We see a lot of racing / trekking / cycling groups. I guess most of their focus is on the Ops part - the thrill / adventure, etc. It is very rare to find an unbiased, empirical and flawless approach to a common passion.

A vehicle is not just a mobility solution, a dopamine kick, social need, ego trip, etc. For me it's a living thing - it's my Vivarium .

Thanks for letting me in.

Hi,

That's interesting. I am sure you'll have a lot to share with other BHPians.
