Namaste BHPians!

Hello Everyone,

I have been an avid reader of team-bhp for a long time and am finally glad to be part of this wonderful community.

What I currently own
My current garage consists of 2009 Thunderbird 350, 2014 Harley Street 750, 2016 Tata Zest XTA, 2014 TVS Wego, Montra Rock, and Rockrider riverside. You can see the clear bias towards two-wheelers.

What I do
I work in a semiconductor company figuring out how to use automotive radars to make the roads safer.

Hobbies
Other than automobiles, I like traveling, photography, reading about automobiles, and tinkering with my motorcycles.
Looking forward to the discussions/interactions.

Hi Meph1st0,

Welcome to Team-BHP!

That's a really interesting line of work.
How has the ongoing semiconductor shortage affected your company?

Cheers!

Welcome Meph1st0

Interesting line of work and wheels.

Your hands-on experiences will be very welcome with the advent of ADAS related tech over the horizon for relatively mass market cars and hopefully mandated within the decade.

Enjoy

Yes, the semiconductor shortage is a known problem and has affected everyone. Hence the customers do understand the delay due to this. Moreover, consumer electronics get a higher priority over automotive due to better margins.

ADAS has slowly started to trickle in the higher end of the spectrum. For the homegrown manufacturers, XUV700 is supposed to feature level 2 autonomous driving assistance. The mass market is a highly price-conscious segment and hopefully in the coming years through government regulations and better safety awareness, these features become standard.
