Reg. your Safari door - please check whether you have the rubber bushes with spacers on the bottom LHS of the door frame. If you dont, you need to get these retrofitted by Tata Motors. If you do, check if the spacers have been properly screwed in - if not they could be jutting out.

Just ask your Dealer to give you the Tata Motors Regional Office number and the name of the Regional Manager. That will let him know you're pissed off.

sometimes its quiet but most of times it rattles and its the Tailgate(the big gate with a huge weight of the stepny)

the mechanics at Nawab Motors have tries almost 7-8 times and its not working out so will surely ask them abt Regional Managers' nos and all.

Actually it can be anything behind the second row that is not securely fastened - sound reflections can be confusing and the source hard to detect. The likely culprits can be loose cables in the sides or tailgate or even plastic parts. For knowing what is causing it, you should get someone to drive over a bad road (not difficult to find in India) - and you sit in the back (boot) to figure out where the sound is coming from by putting your ear close to the panels. At a pinch, softly touching the panel with your fingertips will also help locale the culprit.
