hey guys, new to the board from NYC

i dont know how many guys here are into american muscle but:

i have a 2006 twin turbo v6 4.0L mustang

the car has been pretty much fully rebuilt fromt he wheels up and is a monster when attack in tracks

my other car which is pretty much left in the garage ALL the time cause id cry if the paint got nicked or some bird fouled it is a 2004 5.7L v8 z06 corvette.

this is more of a pleasure to take corners with and accelerating is just RAW power with no forced induction.

Sweet rides, and the absolute perfect colour choice for both the cars. The Mustang, especially, looks hot in the deep gray.

Enjoy your rides, demonfox. And welcome to Team-BHP!

thanks for all the replys guys, i didnt know how desis would respond to a guy with a thing for american muscle cars.

the z06 corvette is almost stock. however it is made of full fiberglass and is extreamly light. it sticks to the floor when racing like you wouldnt believe. takes corners like it was on rails. its a manual 6 speed transmision absolute dream.

the mustang...now thats a horse of a different color. it is an ABSOLUTE PIG!

rearwheel drive just like the corvette and thats where the similarities end! cant take a corner without fish tailing traction control is needed on anything but the DRIEST surface. basically a deathtrap.

now enough bashing it: in a straight line the mustang is a abosolute sweetheart! grabs onto the street like it was glued down, not one bit of traction loss (might be those 20" rims) haha. i fitted the mustang with a turbo system and pushed up the boost too far and blew my engine up. i am building a new one with more power than anything i have ever driven before, or many people for that matter. the new engine under 20-25 psi from the turbo should be able to put down 600+ rear wheel HP. ill take videos for you guys once its all done i will definately be lifting the front wheels. but as of right now the engine is laying open and the body is just sitting there empty.

i am absolutely adament about making that v6 mustang more powerful than a v10

the z06 is the corvettes high performance model. only a limited number of them are made. the engine features ram air intakes, different cams, valves, exhaust manifolds, and other little goodies. right out of the show room it does 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds

Yes, DF I do know what a Z06 is but my question was that your car (from the pics) is not a C6 Z06 as it has quite a few tell-tales missing, so I just asked you whether this was a normal C6 Corvette or is it a C5 Z06.

EDIT: Sorry for the confusion, just read your first post where you've clearly mentioned that it's a '04 Z06 so that make it a C5!

Hey demonf0x,

You mustang looks great!!
Even though im not a huge fan of american muscle (though i have a HUGE soft spot for the RT-10 Viper), it gets a whole lot more interesting when you bring forced induction into the picture!

Its funny because your quotes about the mustang remind me of exactly what they say in the topgear GT500 episode (complaining about the live-axle etc).

Do post some more pics, and keep us informed on the progress !

while the gt500 wasnt engineered the best it could be. ford knew that the aftermarket for the gt500 would be huge. so the only thing hey really put the money into was the engine, the brakes, and the cosmetics. a littlw tweaking, some exhaust work and that car flies. not built for curves though.

just for comparison issues: dont you think that my v6 beating a srt-10 viper into the ground is so funny? as my car has almost 1/2 the cylinders and 1/2 the engine displacement ?
