Bitten The Bullet!!!!

hi guys,

i'm a regular old joe out of delhi, coming upto that age where 'mid life crisis' doesn't seem such a funny sentence!!!

have wanderlust in my veins and skates on my feet. i enjoy all things classic, be it my bikes, my cars or my 'lady'!

i've anchored/presented a car show on the BBC in a past life and keep an interest in all things automotive, aeronautic and acoustic now! i own a 1.2 palio and have recently parted ways with my bullet machismo (she rides with my brother at the moment...'poor thing')

have been in the market for the 2.2 safari for the past 15 odd months - now have to wait atleast another couple. Must get around to getting myself a VW Beetle and restoring it to it's full grandeur. "white with blue racing stripes.... or yellow with a big orange sunflower on the hood?"

i NEED to own a harley in this lifetime.

i NEED to own a harley in this lifetime.

i NEED to own a harley in this lifetime.

i NEED....

you get the drift right????

i drive safe - because i've got a gorgeous family to come home to....

This is typical TBHP lingo that saw here in your intro. Its great- humorous, serious, peppy and drives home the message- wanderlust. Looking forward to more of your contributions!

Featured on it?? Wow! Wish I had watched more of 'Wheels'..absolutely loved the show!
And my dad would always wonder why I'd spend my time watching BBC,and especially 'Wheels'. He thought I'd be better off studying..

The only person I remember on it by name is Niret Alva, is that you? Ya I used to watch that show. And don't be too surprised if you see many more people out here who have watched it!

hey karlos,

i left the show in may 2000! what was your feature? about my experience!?!? i just wish there was a show today that was half decent, because the number of cars that are available today is just mindblowing, as oppossed to all that there was when i was on the show!! got a bit tired of trying to invent new stories on the same darned cars week in and week out... and thanks for the welcome, i hope to see you around man.

nitin,
i suspect your dad was probably right!!

and sparkie,

no i ain't niret!!! i used to segment produce the show as well as review/anchor the 2 wheeler section and do one off special episodes as well. (i did the tata safari drive from delhi to leh and the rally of the raj spl episodes, where vintage cars from around the world - including a 1903 rolls(!) drove from delhi to mumbai via agra, jaipur, udaipur, ahmedabad...

thanks for dropping by and i look forward to seeing you around!
