My name is Darrell and I live in Hampshire in England. I own a rare 1939 Standard Flying Eight Tourer called " STAN "
I am the Publicity Officer for the Standard Motor Club which is a world wide club for Standard owners, offering technical and parts support.
It is NOT run for profit.

You can view my own web site at
CLASSIC FLYING EIGHT TOURER

If I can be of any help to Standard owners in India please email me

There are links on my web site to two you tube videos I created to show what it feels like to be a passenger in STAN.

Along with other 8 owners I use my car to raise money for good causes.

Hope to hear from you soon

Hi Darrell,

Welcome aboard! Great to have you with us.
I enjoyed the open air motoring feel in your videos. Keep them coming!

Hello Darren! Great to have you on board with us!

And it's great to know you run a non-profit club to help Standard car owners worldwide! Keep up the good work!

Welcome to the forum darren, I remember seeing the Standard Gazel in the 80's, in India too.

Welcome aboard Darrell, the Standard Motor Club has been doing great work and has helped me out in many ways in the past, keep up the good work. Im sure by now you must have visited the "Standards in India" thread.

Cheers!
Karl.

welcome to Tbhp, wow it's a nice car, My dad had two Standard gazal cars here in India, the best part is theres a lotus seven replica been built here in India called the Chinkara based on the chassis of these vary cars.

Welcome Darrel. Your car is a legend clap:

In my childhood, my ambition was to own Standard 2000, the only aerodynamic car available in India during that days. Then came the Maruti 1000 i believe.
