Hello to all from PA, USA!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to reach out and introduce myself on the forum. This forum is quite an amazing place with abudant resources!

Great job to the people who have come up with the idea and support the infrastructure to make this happen!

Just a bit about myself:
Recently graduated and have started my interaction with "the real world" here in the US. Cars have been a passion and I hope to continue my knowledge using this forum.

A few of my favorite cars are the Lamborghini Murcielago, Porsche 911 Turbo and the BMW M3 (E46)

I look forward to interacting with everyone here on the forum.

Thanks,
Deziboy

Welcome aboard, Deziboy. Has to be an interesting time for you as, with the first American job comes the first car. Any considerations other than the staple NRI favorite Accords & Camrys?

Thank you for the compliments on our community. Please do visit the board rules section and help us maintain our high standards in quality. See you around the forum!

Where in PA? I spent 10 years in Philidelphia one summer trying to learn S.A.P. and ABAP at their whiz-bang computer center. Compewters, damned infernal machines! Also spent time at Carlysle and Gettysburg.

Welcome to the Site.

Man that was one long summer!

Welcome to the forum Deziboy!

And GTO, going by the fuel prices, the current favorite is the Civic/Corolla and not the Accord/Camry!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

@GTO:
At 21 and a recent grad, I am currently driving my dad's 2000 Toyota Avalon.

As for now, I am very happy with my Avalon's performance (not as much in snow), however I will definetly be looking at other cars, such as the Infiniti G35x, BMW 330xi, Mercedes C300 4matic, and the BMW E46 M3, once I have saved enough money myself....

However, with rising gas prices and graduate school considerations, these cars seem far away from reach.

@DirtyDan:
My parents live in Northeast PA(close to Binghampton, NY), however I live and work near King of Prussia, PA (30 mins from Philly).

As Mohit said, one very long summer there. Were you able to learn some of it?

Deziboy - the 2000 Avalon is a very good family sedan. Very spacious and chilly a/c. Never driven one, so unable to comment on the dynamics. You looking for something similiar or a more sporty car?

@Kuttapan:
I will be looking for something sporty yet practical for everyday driving. Certain other factors such as gas mileage, AWD, etc. will also need to be looked at. I will be looking for something similar to the Avalon in terms of reliability, but more power and awesome looks will be important.

The crude prices going to arctic does not help matters at all.
