Saying hello to the Kolkata people, and all over :)

Hey folks,

Been following some of the posts on TBHP for sometime now, but this would be my first post. .

Originally from Kolkata - Moved to Germany in 2006. Have always been a biker doing lots of trips from Kolkata from the age of 16 on my RE Mach A350.

I am on the process of getting a Swift VDI ABS soon for using in Kolkata and around India during my short trips (once a year, for approximately 3 weeks).

Hope to come across some guys from Kolkata through this thread.

Best Wishes

Indra

Hello Indra,
Welcome to T-BHP.

Do give a heads up when you are in town.

Germany you say? And all we have is a mention of a Swift ! C'mon spill it - what else have you driven/are you driving there

Hello Indra

Welcome to Team-BHP.

So you are in Germany - the land of the Nürburgring and the Autobahn. Hmmm Nice, so what car do you have there ?

Have you been to the Ring', if yes please do share your experiences with all of us.

Moreover, don't you think buying a diesel car would be an unnecessary investment if it's going to be used for only 3 weeks a year ?

IMHO a petrol Swift would also serve the purpose well.

Oh, lest I forget do go through the announcements section so as to better acquaint yourself about the rules and procedures followed here.

Happy posting !

Hi Indra,

Welcome to the forum.

By the way, your name sounds very familiar. Are you Indrajeet Sen ? Member of Hyderabad based Wanderers and 60kph ? Oops. Missed out Eastern Bulls.

Rajat

Hey All

Thanks for the welcome

@ Shuvc - Well, while I was studying I had a 10 year old 2.0 L VW Golf which had a top whack of 220. At the moment I drive a company Audi A6.

@ revvedup - Yes, I have been considering a Swift ZXI instead, but the fact that my mother would be using it - atleast for 1.5k km a month and my trips would e-a-s-i-l-y shoot up to 5k+ kms even for those 3 weeks. I think the diesel would be a good bet. A consideration would be also the Fiat 500 - but - It sells for 10k Euros here and the same things costs 14 Lakhs really put me OFF!

@ rajat - You got me correct there - the same guy who started Eastern Bulls. Your name rings a bell but I just can't place you - help me ?!

I would also have some queries for the Kolkata boys, hope the can help me out !

Hi Indra, nice to another addition to the Kolkata gang... Do let us know the next time you are in Kolkata, we'll plan a meet around you visit.

Audi A6 is Sweet!! I and my friends had some great fun on the autobahns a few years back in an A4... but we still got a serious complex from the porches and ferraris zooming by at 250+ km/hr.

Cheers
Wim
