Hi all,

My name is Raakesh Blokhra and I have been a member of Team Avalanche since 1994. I started with the team as a marshal for Castrol Mountain Challenge 94, 95 and 96 before I started racing under the banner of Team Avalanche in 1997.

I participated in SJOBA 97, Castrol Mountain Challenge 97, Avalanche Open Challenge 98 (won overall and C category), Castrol Desert Challenge 98 (DNF), Raid-de-himalaya 99 (overall 3rd, category 2nd), Raid-De-Himalaya 01 (overall 3rd, Category 1st), SJOBA and Highland Rally 03.

I am in the states now and haven't raced for 5 years (sucks) ...

However, I am getting ready to start racing in the Indian motorsport events starting 2009 and the main events I am looking forward to is the Shimla Motorcycle Challenge organized by Team Avalanche (Manoj Biswas and team) and Raid-de-Himalaya organized by Himalayan Motorsports (Vijay Parmar and team).

PS: Long Branch as in Monmouth County NJ? I used to live in Eatontown in ealy 90s.

Nice to hear you used to live in Eatontown ... Yes, it is Long Branch, Monmouth County ... a mile away from eatontown ! Cool ...
