Welcome aboard Chris.

The Alto is a best seller in India (we have 2 in the family), fear not - all questions will be answered.

Happy motoring.

Wow, I wasn't even aware that they sell the Alto in Germany! Welcome aboard, Chris. Considering that the Alto is Indias best selling car, you'll find lots of information wrt this car on Team-BHP. However, it is important for you to realise that Maruti has discontinued the 1.1 and only sells the 800cc 3 cylinder Alto at the moment.

Welcome Chris ! I drive an Alto 1.1 here in Bangalore and its a nice ride in that segment. You can get a lot of information,as there are a group of Alto enthusiasts both 1.1 and the 800 cc engine segments here on forum.

Hallo Osterei,

So now we can crack you open come the 12th of April then lol

Wilkommen zum Team-BHP. I see you come from the sehr schön Rheinland.
The first time I saw an Alto in Germany was in the Fränkische Schweiz, deep in the pampa at some Therme on top of a mountain. I was surprised and took a few pictures!
Now we have a German with an alto here! Excellent.
Enjoy your stay.

Here is me in Holland 6 years ago with the Zen and M800 (as called so in India). Also saw these in Germany.

GTO, I have seen the Zen in Germany when I lived there. It was a rare sight nonetheless. Yes these cars were badged as Suzuki cars and not Maruti-Suzuki as they are here.
