Greetings from Germany from a Vintage-Benz-Junkie

Hello friends

of old rusty iron on four wheels.

I am the New, Year of construction 1950. I come from Bad Homburg, near Frankfurt in Germany. My vintage car is a Mercedes-Benz 280 SL, 1970, Series W113.

I make it short. First a few photos of my car and a great tour that I had made to Scottland with some Friends in 2006

I would not believe how many beautiful old cars you have in India and how many are vintage-junkies in India.

I like your forum very good.

Please excuse my bad English.

Regards,
Detlef

What a beautiful SL Histomat. Very lovingly cared for. And from the pictures you have posted, you seem to have a liking for photography as well. It would be great if you post an ownership review of your SL. Head straight to the reviews section but before you do, go through the rules section which will help you understand the working of the forum better. See you at the threads.

Welcome to Team BHP.

Welcome Histomat -hope you will enjoy your surfing here as much as we all do. Your SL is lovely.Hope to see more of its pictures especially the dash.
I was in Wetzlar near Frankfurt for some days and had also visited the Mercedes Benz plant at Sindenfingel off Poplingen. Have lovely memories of this awesome marque.

Guten tag Detlef,

That's a super looking SL, lovely pictures too. I visited Frankfurt a few years back and was so surprised to see so many classics in regular use.

The Vintage and Classic section will provide you with hours of viewing material, especially do go through these links.

.

Hello Friends,

Frankfurt / Main is my Hometown, the City of Bank(st)er and now also of the Financial Crisis. I live in Bad Homburg, about 15 km from Frankfurt.

We have a large vintage Car-Scene. The largest Proportion of Cars that are older than 30 years, is Mercedes-Benz (over 80.000 in Germany). My Dad had a Company since 1951 and sold technical Equipment for Mercedes-Benz Car Repair-Shops. It is clear why I prefer Mercedes-Benz.

I have given you a few Photos set to remain on our private Workshops, Meetings and Trips with FRiends. I hope you liked it.

I myself am a Specialist in Engines and Fuel-Injection-Pumps and I almost repair everything themselve.

Regards,
Detlef

Hallo Detlef,

So we have another Hesse on the forum, lol.

I have crossed Bad Homburg many times on my way to Frankfurt - meine Frau ist Hessisch, von Bad Nauheim, near Friedberg and I have spent many days there (and suspect will spend many more).
Her jüngerer Bruder is also a member here.
So including you, that's 3 so far, not to mention some other Germans too.

I am told BH is beautiful (and has rich homes) and has a famous casino too.

Welcome to Team-BHP and who knows, maybe we'll see you someday.
