hi all .... this is sunith.... i was introed to this site by vip3r and i love it, so here i am!!!! anyways..i have a zen , and i have decided to dispose it and take a new car. budget is around 7l . any suggestions are damn welcome. As of now i am keen on a baleno lxi or a second hand vtec. too confused.....

i suggest u go for a black baleno lxi- it'll cost u about 5.5l.u could spend the rest 1.5l on the car

I'd vote for the 2nd hand VTEC, though I own a Baleno LXi. You can't beat a VTEC!

yeah i am actually on the hunt for a vtec but they are so difficult to find.
Here are my options
1) Baleno Lxi
2) second hand vtec
3) a 2003 automatic honda city 1.5 exi (old shape) ...my neighbour s selling it for 6.9l. its clocked only 3K km. !!!!
4) any other choice in this segment that i ve missed out on
i want
1) performance
2) fuel efficiency
3) comfort
in that order ...

optra is fine but the new honda city ??? i am not too comfortable with the shape. plus its not a performance oriented car from what i know.
heard vtec will be released again but in the new shape.... when is that gonna happen?

Date of the VTEC is not out as of now. But if you not comfortable with the shape, it will remain the same in the VTEC too. Optra on the other hand is giveig 3 years service Holiday too thus becomes a great car to think about.

If fiat is fine with you then petra is a good choice too. It has

VFM
performance
comfort
robust build quality and
good ride and handling

on the downside. FE is not that great and fiat service not exatly top notch but improving

heard that brand new elantras crdi's go on huge discounts these days.Crdi is good anyday.A used mondeo can also be had for around 7-8 lacs though service would be expensive.

just giving you some options here .A honda city and baleno are good choices too.

Baleno sinc you can get a 4 year Maruti warranty with the New Car...might play second fiddel to the Vtec in performance but still remember the Overdrive comparo where it was faster then the OHC 1.5 *non vtec)

i thnk its a very underrated car...
anyways ...went to maruti showroom this sunday with dad...
finalised on a sky blue baleno....
have nt vooked it as yet but i think thats what its gonna be
