Hey man, rocking intro! Welcome aboard, or should I say, welcome home!

Just got to lay my hands on an Esteem and reacquaint myself with its silky smooth power. Found myself shifting for the fun of it!

Small niggle...if it's the 85bhp MPFI, how do you go to 7500rpm? Limiter is at 6500. Typo?

Oops... yeah... did'nt notice that typo before! ... By the way, is there really a rev - limiter on the Esteem MPFI ? (and how should I go about disabling it )

No mods yet dude... hoping to change that with help from Team BHP !

In order of importance, I'm looking to:
1. Upgrade to 13" / 14" Alloy rims (thinking about "Aura" brand)
2. Upgrade from the existing 155/80R13 tyres to the widest tyres that will fit witout changing overall diameter and withouth needing to cut any metal !
3. Add a body trim kit (side skirts + bumper skirts + rear spoiler)
4. Upgrade to a K&N cold air intake and upgrade to a free flow exhaust
5. Add a pair of fog lights at the radiator / condenser air intake in the front bumber.
6. Add in a pair of strobe lights where the oem rectangular fog lights fit. (like the F1 pace cars !)

I would be doing these one item at a time (unless somebody gifts me some of the stuff 0:-) ) ... guys and gals, let me know where I can get this kind of stuff in Mumbai / Pune ! I would prefer a dealer who can fit the parts too.

Sorry Solly... she's not a turbo (yet) ... not sure how usable a Turbo Charged street car is in India... Our low octane petrol responds poorly to turbo charging, at least without extensive mods to the engine.

Besides, the 85Bhp power plant already pushes the stock chasis to the limit, unless I can upgrade the handling to go with the extra power, the higher numbers would be just bragging rights!

Welcome to TBHP, Turbo C. You sound like a true petrolhead, and one who isnt lost for words.

You had your Esteem - now you have our Esteem too.

Turbo, rev limiter disabling will mean reprogramming the ECU. You're looking at something around 5k for that.

For 14 inchers, try League, HR, Hijoin. Better designs, and if you're lucky, the dealer will give a dealer warranty.

Btw, there ARE turbo Esteems in India.
