A big hi from woman on wheels

Hi Team-BHP, after a wait of one month and three unsuccessful attempts of registering, I am finally here. I love driving, which may come as a surprise to some of the gentlemen because women ususally have passions other than car. Well, I have driven a zen for almost four years in Delhi and then moved to mumbai. Was without a car for two years and finally after a long wait, got delivery of my new red swift dzire last week. I have been waiting to share my experience with the team for a loooong time and it feels great to be able to communicate with great ppl and a great car community.

My experience with the car has been good so far. I am driving to Delhi in my new car tomorrow and I just cant wait to begin. That will be the real test of the car's performance. I have read all the travelogues million times and if there is anyone who would like to share any more words of wisdom is more than welcome. I look forward to hearing from you guys...

Happy Driving

Welcome aboard.

Good to see that you are driving from Bombay to Delhi in your new DZire. Is it a petrol or a diesel?
Your initial ownership review and the reasons for your choice of a DZire will enlighten prospective car buyers.
A travelogue with your driving experience to Delhi will be very welcome.

P.S. : Has your car been run-in yet?

Drive safe.
Regards

Thank you everyone for your overwhelming response. I will certainly post a travelogue as soon as I am in Delhi. Anyone wants to give any tips??

007, the onlye differnce I see in Delhi and Mumbai is that Delhi has much wider and better roads. You will find a mix bag of good and bad drivers everywhere though... :-)

welcome ji madam! Lovely to be driving a week old car 1500km! :clap

very nice stuff - your thread will definitely get max views soon, going at the current reply rate

You're planning to post a live thread of your progress on teambhp eh?

PS: Just be slow on the sweeping curves short of Udaipur ... they've gotten the better of many a speeding driver!
PPS: For someone doing this trip - surely you've toured alot - got any triplogs to share?

welcome aboard!

hi there! welcome to the forum.

congrats with your new Dzire an extremely potent car. good luck with your journey and drive safe.

by the way there is no connection between being a man/woman and having a passion for anything with wheels (or wings, engines and and accelerator pedal - in that order). I believe (firmly) that theres a gene for this which the scientists havent discovered yet.
