Today, I feel privileged

Q: When/How did you hear about Team-BHP?

Time: August 2007
Google Search Keyword: "front wheel drive vs rear wheel drive" and that's how I knew about team-bhp. Went on to read many threads and loved every information (spam free information) available on this forum.

Q: How many attempt did you make to register? 5
  • 1st Attempt: Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 1:29 PM IST
    • Didn't activate the account.
  • 2nd Attempt: Mon, Mar 3, 2008 at 3:31 PM
    • Didn't activate the account.
  • 3rd Attempt: Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 10:31 AM
    • Wrote something I don't remember in "Why team-bhp" section. Membership rejected on Sep 6, 2009.
  • 4th Attempt: Mon, Mar 1, 2010 at 6:00 PM
    • Membership rejected again on Thu, Mar 4, 2010 at 4:15 PM.
  • 5th Attempt: Thu, Mar 4, 2010 at 7:06 PM
    • Went through some rules' sections in the forum. Did google search with keyword "why team-bhp note" and found a lot of threads, blogs, reviews criticizing the forum's policy. Didn't loose hope (infact got motivated). Started thinking on "Do I really need to join team-bhp? if yes, why?". Filled the registration form with confidence.
And today I felt privileged after looking into my inbox.

Q: How did team-bhp grow on you?
  • Reading through current happening in the automotive industry (indian-car-scene section)
  • Reading through every page of GTO's test drive reports
  • Reading through every page of the Skada's issue with harishv
  • Reading through every page of threads related to monthly sales analysis
  • Reading through travelogues narrated in team-bhp
  • Visiting team-bhp every 30 minutes to see any update on the topics of my interest.
Q: Current state of affairs?
  • Do not have a driving license yet.
  • Hunting for a good driving school in Hyderabad (SriNagarColony area)
  • Not able to decide on whether to buy a new car in Hyderabad (a hatchback), or to transfer my home car (Indigo CS) from Varanasi or to buy a second hand car in Hyderabad.
Thanks to all of you. Apologies if my very first post is a little boring.

PS: All the date/time information are fetched from my email account. Thanks to Sergey Brin and Larry Page for Gmail.

Hello ottocycle, welcome home. Finally your hardwork paid off. Right? The rules in T-bhp are very strict. Your first post is not at all boring. Never think it that way. By the manner you write, I think you can ignite fire in our forums, which is pretty good. Keep up this good work.

Thanks drdeepudev for appreciating . Yes, the hard work did pay off. I joined a driving school today. Thinking of sharing my experience/progress on weekly basis.

Welcome to the brotherhood ottocycle. Yes, its tough to get into team-bhp and once you have read through the content you can see why.
Congratulations on joining the driving school, it will teach you what you need to drive and team bhp will teach you the real how to. Do post your experiences and any questions you might have. All of us would love to see another responsible driver on the roads.

Cheers!

Hello ottocycle,

Herr Rudolf is going to be very upset with you.

As for the driving school find out if one of the Maruti run driving schools is there, that would be the best followed by one run by the local Automobile Association.
