Hi from Palakkad, Kerala

Hi All. Good to be here finally after one misfired attempt to register. Thanks Moderators

Thought I'll give my Intro before posting - sort of like clearing the throat, just to see how my post looks

Iam Praveen, a recent resident of Palakkad, working in Coimbatore and owning a Santro Xing. I love the wild and the great outdoors and (not necessarily consequently) the drives to the wild and the great outdoors!! The advantage of living in Palakkad is that 3 kms in any direction I hit the highway and 5 kms of the highway from there, Iam in the wild, cut of from civilisation

Enjoying life here and hope to share my experiences of the long drives with friends here in T-bhp

And I've read the Team-bhp rules for posting also

Praveen

Hi mowgli

Are you a Jungle Book fan ? Welcome aboard. Since you are an outdoors lover, I'm looking forward to seeing contributions from you in the Travelogues section. Tell us more about Palakkad, where you live.

Take time to stop by the Rules to acquaint yourself with the forum protocol.

Among the beauty of living away from the metros is the ability to switch off from the harried city life rather quickly. You are blessed with such opportunities.

You a photography fan by any chance?

Hello Praveen,

Welcome and hope to meet you when I land up over there.

No time soon, though! The heat over there now is enough to keep any such thoughts out!

I've read the Jungle book front-to-back and back-to-front several times.
Hope to start off with my travelogues soon. Now am in the process of shifting my house. Let me get over that headache. Shall speak more about Palakkad in a separate thread

Thanks and very correct benbsb - am discovering the joy of living in a small town after spending years in Kolkatta and Chennai. Am a photography fan - but taking the initiall steps. I own a Sony P&S camera as part of my learning process!
