Hi Everyone,

My name is Ross.
I am a 61 year old Engineer who lives in Sydney, Australia, and I am a bit of a car nut!
I presently own a 1987 Ferarri 328 GTS, and I am also currently constructing a Westfield (Aussie) clubman sports car. A car modelled
somewhat like a Lotus 7.
I have owned many cars in the past, such as my first car, 1949 Austin A40, then a Morris Major Mk2. followed by many minis including at least four Cooper S's, an MGB, Jaguar Mk 2, XJ6, Holden Monaro, and Holden Commodores.
I am currently looking for a 1962 Fiat 1100 Deluxe, as I have seen on this forum.
It is a long story why I want one of these, but my Brother in Law imported one from Italy in 1962, and I have not seen one for years. I believe there were only 20 imported into Australia.

My Brother in law introduced me to motor cars and motor sport, and I wish to restore the car in his memory. It was two tone green.

If I cannot find one in Australia, I will mport one. A right hand drive if possible.

I am currently in hospital undergoing a stem-cell transplant, and I intend to retire in about 18 months, once I am over this hurdle, and the Fiat will be my retirement project.

Cheers,
Ross

Hi Ross B, (follow F1 much? )

Well, you sure have come to the right place if you are in search of a Fiat 1100 and all things fiat. (aka Premier Padminis here in India)

As every day goes by it probably gets harder and harder to find a Fiat in good condition, so do get moving! I'm sure the experts here can guide you on the best way to find what you want.

Do post some pics of your Westfield project, as well as the 328GTS!

Goodluck with the transplant.

cya around,
R

Hi Rehaan,

Thanks for the welcome, and kind wishes.

Once out of hospital I'll try to post some photos.

I can send some to you personal email, but don't know how to put them on a post here yet.

Cheers,
Ross

Hi Shuvc,
Thank you for the welcome,

I too have visited your lovely country only for a very short time unfortunately, and I spent a week working and staying in Hyderabad.

My next door neighbours are Indian, and they are a lovely family.

Cheers,
Ross
