Hi Amby lovers

This is Balaji from Palakkad Kerala. I am refurbishing a Mark II, my father purchased in 1970 - (40 year young & faithful amby) - original petrol engine et all
Any suggestions for putting a multi point ignition kit? Getting a mechanic to tune and do up the CB point/condensor/ignition coil routine is diminishing.

Hi balaji

First of all welcome to team-bhp ! Good to know that you have a 1970 amby.

This sections is for introducing yourself ,you can post your queries about the amby in the vintage and classic sections.

BTW please do not kill the Amby by putting in an MPFI into it,retain the old engine itself .

You will definitely have good mechs in Coimbatore,All the best

Welcome balaji! I am too from palakkad, but now in Chennai.

Your questions about modding the young Amby should be opened as a thread in the appropriate section, so that experts can help with suggestions.

All the best in your modification project.

Welcomw on board Balaji!

I am sure you would enjoy this forum, just from the fact that your family has chosen to keep a 40 year old car with you.

Please don't modify the engine. In Kerala there shouldn't be any dreath of mechs who can tune the engine. With a little bit of practice and the equipments you yourself can do it.

Please see the follwing links in the forum which would really inspire you.
