I Drive Fast and Drive Long

Hi Guys,

I am Manasij Ganguli, a software architect based in Noida.
Cars have been my passion ever since I was a kid.
I have been a racing/rallying fan for over a decade and though have no medallions for these sports, I have had my part of fun behind the wheels.

On Indian Highways, I have driven quite extensively (over 30,000 km on Highways) with some really long stints.
Done Delhi-Kolkata via NH2 on 2 occasions in last 9 months. They were all one stretch drives with just one stop
In recent summer I did a great Kolkata-Bangalore drive.
Check out the story and the blog with 30 odd pics of this drive at:
http://manasij.wordpress.com/2010/05/

I like to drive fast and tend to push the cars to their limits
Recently laid my hands on a Porsche Carrera and took it to 200 kmph!

It will be fun to be a part of Team Bhp for sure.

Cheers,
Manasij Ganguli

Welcome Manasij, it indeed is a small world!. In case you're wondering who I am, have a look at my profile pic . Or try Arnab!

Never knew you're a fan of highway driving. You'll find plenty of driving travelogues here. Also post some of your own.

small world indeed

and yes, there is not much fun driving in city anyway......so highways are the only solace
i have not done enough write ups on my road trips as I have done for my cycling trips
may be now there would be an added incentive to get views from Team Bhp guys that would inspire some travelogues

Hope that you will post more in travelogue section. Please note that it's imperative that you post photos on T-BHP servers rather than posting links. Hope that you have familiarized yourself with posting rules in announcements section.

If you drive so much, when do you get time to ride cycles?
Glad to see here as well, have read about your cycling rides in other forums/groups.

>>>manasij,

Please try to start a thread of your long distance runs in t-bhp. I will be doing a Bombay-Delhi-Uttarakhand-Delhi-Bombay run in December. Hope to meet you in Delhi, during that run if it is possible.

Welcome aboard Manasij. Truly well said that it is fun to be a part of the BHP family, for sure I'm enjoying the fun.

After doing the rally racing, it is natural for you to drive fast and looking at your background, I'm sure you are safe driver too. Your travelogues would be really interesting to read, do post them.

BTW where did you get hold of the Porsche and where was this 200kmph drive. Do fill in more details.
