Reminds me of what Mark Twain said,
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Or something to that effect.

Congrats on doing something so adventurous; that too for a noble cause.

Salute!

Wow! Man-o-man! This is incredibly sensational! Bravo Tushar! Am too short of words..

I along with few mates of mine (based out of london) fancied doing it and were full of questions like getting required stay/transit visas upfront, language problems, road conditions, ideal season and galore many.. guess most of it you have addressed in your website. I will take time to read through it and feel ever more inspired!

Once again, this is wonderful feat. Salute you & Pooja!

Welcome to TBHP Tushar. As already stated by SS Traveller and HVKumar, I amongst many others have been following your blog updates during the journey.. Hats off to your perseverance and determination. We would love to hear about any special instances during the journey.

BTW is the Cherokee still in India or has it already made its way back ?

Tushar, amongst the loads of questions that i've here are the most significant ones:
  1. Is the Cherokee registered in your name?
  2. How many miles it had on the odo when you started?
  3. What other vehicle (eg BMW X series) would you suggest will do this trip?
  4. What are the repair/maintenance facilities en-route? Especially beginning eastern Europe to Nepal?
  5. What insurance did you buy? Did UK insurer cover the complete trip?
  6. What Indian regulations you have to comply in order to retain the car in India? Permanently or say for a period of at least 6 months

Hi Tushar, Welcome to Team BHP. I have not gone thru your blog but from what has been written above, it does sound very interesting. I'm sure not much folks would have even thought of such a long trip - well I have not.

Kochi to London in a Ford Endeavour

I came across a drive of unimaginable scale in Facebook. A gentleman called Suresh Joseph with 2 other fellow travellers are on a road trip to London from Kochin. This epic drive is planned to complete in 75 days covering 27 countries (2 continents) spanning 24000 kms.

Their drive can be followed in this Facebook page
