Greetings.

The name's Balakrishnan, aka ballkey. I'm just another IT guy, and like driving a lot. Just got my hands on a Azure grey Swift Vxi. 'tis my first car, hence did a lot of research here. Test drove pretty much most of the mid-sizers including Accent,Getz,Indigo TDi etc(< 6 lakhs). Lusted after the Ford Fusion, and almost went for it. The Fusion+ABS just went above my budget, and Ford wouldnt sell the base model. Big sedans like Accent/Baleno didnt look easy to drive in the city, so they were out too.

So the Swift. I didnt care much for teh much vaunted styling (I still dont)-but liked the specs & price. The overall experience is nice, except for the coal-mine theme of the interiors. Anyway, thanks to all teambhp members for sharing their views, and helping thousands like me make their big decisions.

Happy 2006 everybody

Congratulations on the new car, Ballkey. Great choice with a hatch that teaches sedans a thing or two in the ride / handling department.

Welcome aboard
