Good thing about the Amby is that parts and service are cheap and can be done by any local mechanic, although Amby experts are a dying breed.

But, like Rudra said, it takes time and energy to chase these things down....and you being local dosent help much. But if you are up for it...then go for it. Our first car was an Amby MkII....MYZ 1184, may your soul rest in peace.

Agree with 100%. That's the real problem with keeping an Amby. deano, please keep this in mind.

tech advice: is it possible to switch over floor gearstick to steering column mounted gears? if the amby doesn't have power steeting, can it be modified to have p.s?
Last detailed question (i promise): why are the hand brakes squeezed in on the right hand side of the driver seat, and can they be moved?
