Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() How is that when you have this awesome road trip done, a ton-load of pics to be uploaded & all the trip details fresh in your mind, waiting & ready to be just written down; and suddenly you have a sh$$load of work to be done. I have been carrying a pen drive (which by the way is officially not allowed in my org) to my office with all the pics downsized (to less than 1mb), hoping that I would find time to start working on the travelogue, or atleast put up the first starting post - and nah! Murphy seems to be working overtime just to screw up my case! The last 3 nights at home too have been quite the case - twice I have just gone home, had dinner, opened the laptop & snored to glory right there; once with my office attire full on & me sleep-drooling on the laptop throughout the night! ![]() So while I hope to start on the travelogue by this weekend, here's a sneak peak
Btw for those of you interested to know, the lady is on the verge of reaching 6k kms. The short Tbhp meetup at Mumbai ![]() A guide on how to use the seatbelt while sleeping on the back seat! ![]() ![]() The beautiful 150+ years old narrow but sturdy bridge over Narmada ![]() The wonderful roads of Rajasthan ![]() A bit of night photography while we try out different dhaba(s) ![]() Still have doubts on the speeds reachable in the Vento Tdi? ![]() The unplanned roadtrip through the lanes of Jaipur at 12 a.m. - Noor Mahal ![]() The mind-blowing awesome breakfast (yes, that was our breakfast - the best of the trip) on the Jaipur - Delhi highway ![]() And oh yea, the F1 race was there too ![]() Hopefully, the travelogue should be up by this weekend. |

Good one Ninja. 18 kmpl and 190 kmplh, best of the worlds, ye. Good to see you back safe and sound. Will be waiting for the travelogue, especially with lots of F1 photos from the photography champ. BTW, were you there to witness the chaos at the Metallica concert? That was sh$$. |

| ![]() What an amazing recepie for a mind blowing TL this seems to be! Bring it on Ninja! Lovely snaps there too. 18kmpl is a great FE. High speed numbers are also great! And pen drive in office? Lol! Unless you have a laptop, you do know that all desktops in office have USB port disabled, right? |

And a big thanks to you sir! Those short calls on Thursday put the idle mind to ease - could focus & enjoy the trip ![]() Quote:
And yes, the Tdi packs the best of both worlds. Quote:
Strangely my system has it enabled - haven't dared to use the pendrives for music/videos (don't know when NSS would sneak up on me), so far have used it only for office documents (whenever required) & TBHP!

| ![]() Brilliant teaser Ninja. Was wondering where you vanished after coming back. Eagerly waiting for your travelogue. I crossed 1K recently and you are already at 6K. Way to go. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Gaaaah...my respective stats are 12 kmpl and 170 kmph respectively So I guess you win ![]() Same problem with me. First couple of days was so exhausted, could barely manage to put the teaser post up. Then work hit with a vengeance. Hopefully should be able to get the assembly line moving by the weekend! |

| ![]() Wow!! This is some drool stuff ninja.. 190 Km/hr?? That is some serious speed. Would be interesting to know how the car behaved overall. During my first trip home, since the car was in Run-In I didnt even touch 100. Waiting eagerly for the details and the story to unfold!! CHEERS!! |

Hopefully atleast one of us should have the travelogue up by the weekend! Quote:
![]() Btw the car was very stable, hardly any vibrations at 190, but you could feel the engine straining (through the accelerator & clutch). Also, I did the 190kmph only for a min - except for the initial stretch between Surat & Ahmedabad, the speed limit was strictly maintained at 130 kmph. Reasons for the same will be given in the travelogue. Last edited by ninjatalli : 4th November 2011 at 15:50.
