I wouldn't worry about the cost of injectors just as yet, but I reckon one costs around Rs.15k, give or take. Do let the dealer diagnose the problem first. There are other possibilties to what may be causing the power loss in your car, injectors are just one of them.
Isn't your car still under warranty? If not, then you can rightfully start worrying about the financial implications. Some of Fiat's parts are priced ridiculously low (relatively speaking), whereas others like mechanical components tend to cost a bomb and then some!

Twice in a month I used to take Coimbatore-Pkd-trichur route n in between,if some where i start pushing her in a spirited way for few km-say 20 or 25km then suddenly;the rpm won't go up,even if my right leg touches the metal !! N she will take her sweet time to climb up to 3k in rpm meter. Then suddenly all the power comes back !! Again if I have to break, then the story repeat but all this will disappear when I opt for normal drive for few km. I have visited the Service centre thrice for this n they never could find out the reason, once I have taken the service guy and a work shop supervisor to show the complaint and driven around 30km in L&T bypass at speeds around 120km n some power shifts too but my bad luck the problem didn't come up that day!!ddc7b
If you could provide any point regarding this then it will be a great help..thanks n best regards
Except this now some strange noise is coming when I turn the steering too, like twisting a spring!!
other than this she is perfect!! I'm pleased with her high speed handeling n GC also now ok :-) after changing the tyre profile.Break pad changed @ 35k km. No other big expenses. |
I have the same issue with my linea and it happens only once in a while.i got it scanned for any errors, checked the turbo and hoses but everything seemed allright.i am living with it,havent noticed it for a few thousand kms now.
And this is not related to injectors that is for sure.

Thanks akshay n i just checked 😃yes my car is running on extended warranty.Anyway I'm planning to give the car for a complete check up.
An update on the condition of my car. My Dad's been using it for the past few days for his daily 60km commute.
The other day, I took the Linea to my office and had it washed and valeted. As I had noticed a slight wobble while turning, I had the wheel bolts tightened and the tyre pressure checked. I wasn't surprised when my staff told me that ALL the wheel bolts were loose, two of which were close to falling off! And the tyre pressure was low on two tyres.
Sigh ! I sent a polite text message to the service head of the dealership, where the car had been for the past two months, and left it at that. Although I know that I should take this up strongly with Fiat/TATA, I'm not going to, as I don't think they'll ever improve.
I'm just thankfull (to the Almighty) that nothing untoward happened when my Dad was driving the car.
i think my linea has the highest ODO reading amongst all. it is at 85000km in 26 months.
Now my car's odo reads 62k n I have changed timing belt @60k service.I have changed the battery too(Exide DIN55)
My clutch was very hard so clutch overhaul done which costed me around 9800/-.
FIAT has replaced (with out any penny from my pocket!!)my ECU for the throttle problem n now the car is back to her charm.I would say a good gesture from fiat.
I will rate the new FASS 9/10.
GOOD GOING FIAT
