Update after two years -
I was in Mumbai last week and got to drive our i10 after over 2 years!
The car still looks and drives perfectly well. We left i10 in Mumbai with 10,300 kms on the odo and now Odo reading is around 17,500 Kms. One paid service has been done at Sreenath Hyundai, Thane. AC performance is great in Mumbai's humid weather. Mileage in city is around 10-12 KMPL. For highway like Mumbai-Nasik highway, it delivers around 14-16 KMPL.
Time passes by so fast. It appears that I wrote this ownership report just a week back but it's over 5 years since then and i10 will turn 6 this November.
With low running it is holding well just as it was brand new. Will rule the roads of Mumbai for many more years to come.
The original stock battery of the i10 lasted for 6 years and 10 months. A long time for a battery to last. Though the car has around 20k kms only on the ODO as it is used for local city commuting in Mumbai. The stock amaron battery has been replaced by another Amaron Green. My brother has the plan to keep the i10 for a few more years (3-4 at least). It is still doing good, is in great shape, fairly new in terms of only 20k kms on the ODO. Two of the four tyres were also changed to new last month.
All in all, i10 proved to be a great city car especially in a city like Mumbai.
So the car has been sold. 11 years and 9 months of reliable companionship. It was sold to Spinny in Mumbai. The car had Delhi registration but that didn't came as problem when trying to sell in Mumbai. We got good resale value also considering the car was nearly 12 years old.
i10 clocked just about 38,500 kms, so it was not a very intensively used car and only used for city errands.
Will definitely miss the good old i10 with iRDE2 engine:)
Concluding the thread with lots of good memories of Hyundai i10 and they will always remain always with us. :)
