So, you now have a V8 with variable valve timing?
Nitrous anna, even though its a V8, its mostly in the 4 cylinder mode only, highlighted by green "ECO" on the display.

Congratulations on acquiring your dream car.

Hope you have miles and miles of fun.

I love the LED tail lights. It gives this car an unique character and one can recognize this miles down the road.

I just drove a 300 Hemi. What a beast.

Enjoy your ride and post interior pics.

Smoking!!!! That is one beast you have there. Thanks also for the detailed buying process.

P.S: The indicator for the fuel lid is present in quite a few Indian cars as well now

Good to know that! This is the first time in my life that i actually read some parts of a car's user guide! And hence came to know of this.

Wow, my jaws were left open when I saw the car! The last when this happened to me was when I saw the Evo X in person and the Ford Explorer on this forum! What-a-car man!!!

It looks as if its just came out of the gym. Raw brutal power it packs too. Looking forward to more pics of the interior and your ownership report.

Love the rear-lights!

Re: Team BHP's First! Hemi Powered 2012 Dodge Charger

Congrats buddy. I have always adored the Charger's butch looks whenever I spotted it during my US trips . Good to see a owner of a V8 here. If you ever try testing out all 290 horses under the hood make sure you don't get caught. You don't want your insurance going abominably higher. Wishing you happy miles.

Congrats on acquiring the Duke Mobile - I am a big fan of Dukes of Hazzard - In case you need a name for the beast - "General Lee" might not be a bad idea. I have rented the 6 cylinder version of the charger and it was fun, i can't imagine what the V8 sounds and drives like. Considering its an AWD it is also usable in the winters. All the very best.

ML.

Re: Team BHP's First! Hemi Powered 2012 Dodge Charger

Charger is one the best cars I've driven. Absolute pleasure.
Congratulation buddy. Enjoy your new adrenaline-generator.

Oh also, btw, you should know - Statistically, red cars receive speeding tickets more often.

Nah! just messing with you. It's just a myth. Time to enjoy!!!

Actually, it does share quite a few similarities in exterior design with EVO X. EVO fans are of the opinion that it is a poor copy.

Its actually 370 horses. The V6 has 290. And you are right. There is no way i can test them on the roads here. Maybe one day i will take it out to track.

The SRT8 comes with a built in quarter mile calculator. People are trying to see how they can hack the R/T system to display the same thing.

Good idea! Although, people say that red colored cars are anyway high up on cops' lookout list Dont know how true that is though.

Besides, from the current Dodge lineup, i think the Challenger would be a more apt car to inherit the General Lee tag.

Cheers

Do shoot a video if you can once you are on the track with the beast . Might have to watch it in ultra slow motion.
