Its not even a year i have had the car, let me enjoy it Stock for a while

BTW, if i go in for an Eisenmann any chances of BSI/warranty getting void ?

I think by just changing the tyres probably you have voided the BSI/warranty as well. Unless you get BMW stuff from the BMW dealer (at absurd prices of course) I am sure they will find some excuse to wriggle out of warranty. They hopefully will continue the services under BSI?

The tires have a different manufacturer warranty & not the same as the car's. Also i'm not under the BMW secure scheme (tire insurance of sort) so no warranty gets void in my case

In fact i have seen many Service advisors both at Navnit & Infinity encouraging customers to switch to tubeless

You've kept it stock long enough

Its just the end can which is changed, so technically warranty shouldn't be void. Have a word with the service advisor or manager.

Congratulations Couper72

Please share more details about where have you sourced your 328 from & the color combo you got.

All the best

Thank you Karan561.

I have taken an Apline White with Red & Black interiors.

I have negotiated a 2 lacs discount and have to discuss about the little "extras" when i take the delivery.

Congrats Couper!

BMW recently offered to replace our current 330i that we got in 2010 for another model. Obviously our choice is the 328i (will miss the free revving 6 cylinder) but surprisingly they said that theres currently only one 328i in the whole country which is in white exterior and red leather, which is not to our taste.

How is this possible, one 328i in the whole country

What's worse the sales rep pointed out that probably BMW isn't bringing another 328i to India until another 6 months!

I was told to wait for a few days for an update on my request.

Can you give me details if there are any more on the shelf. Thanks

Thanks Haldar.. That was the initial response I received from my dealer in Hyderabad as well. This seems to be true to an extent (I contacted a few dealers in TN & Karnataka as well but they had limited stock) the allocation of the 328i to India is few in number. You can contact the Karnataka dealer of the one in Calcutta they seem to have more than one color available.

How can different dealers have different stock? I thought BMW would centralise and once orders are placed through a dealer, dispatch stock accordingly. Even if some dealers have asked for some allotment, then would this mean that there is unsold stock with the dealer since some time? That the dealer 'bought' the car without having an order? Then will they physically send the car from Karnataka to say Kolkatta / Hyderabad?

And this whole 328i business is very surprising since it is their mainstream model in USA, etc.

I haven't done much research on the stock availability at the various dealers across the country. But, Yes, the dealer in Karnataka has confirmed that he has stock of the vehicle and will be physically delivering it to Hyderabad.

Yes, I was surprised too, because the 328i sold like hot cakes last year.

What a superb car and an equally superb thread! I'm just starting to enjoy a fraction of this turbo boost with the Polo GT

I almost went thru your entire thread and all it needs I feel is a 'PROPER' Photo Shoot.
