As my car isn't under BSI hence i sourced these wipers from a local aftermarket shop for Rs 1600/-

Was a simple DIY
Great! Karan, What wipers are these, I am looking for a replacement for my Passat and not able to find any.

Did your wipers come with multiple attachments to make them universal?

DSC, Made in Taiwan.

These aren't universal, but were for my F30. Im not sure if this clip will fit other cars (it may or may not).

Best you get in touch with Ramesh 09320299999 & enquire about your car

You can see the difference your larger alloys make compared to the 320D Sportline. Mean Stance!

And damn those clear lens tail lamps on the 530D look amazing!

Just a curious question, is the 1.2 TSi able to cope with these monsters, at least up to sane speeds?

The big Germans will leave it in the dust, but let's just say that it has the potential to surprise you, if driven well.

EDIT: by the way, that looks like a 520d.

Its a 530d alright

And the 1.2tsi can keep up till these cars hit the really open stretches of road.

Really? I was going by the reflectors on the rear bumper. They sit higher in the 530d, don't they? Also, what about the M kit?

M kit only came in 2013. The 530d was sold since the beginning. Bumpers of non M kit cars are the same, regardless of the engine.

Guys,

I was recently browsing for performance upgrades for my beamer and came across the "RaceChip - Ultimate".
https://www.racechip.com/shop/bmw/3-...0kw-350nm.html

These people seem to be pretty confident about their product and are in fact offering a 2 year warranty on the car along with the product. Can anyone tell me if this is a good idea.

Hi Couper,

+66HP & +95 NM sounds delicious no doubt, but seems like an aggressive map (more like Stage 2)

Another positive is that it includes 2 year warranty (also not sure how it will be covered in India)

Though this company is fairly experienced at this (born in 2008) i suggest you can look at options who have been there longer in this business like AC Schitzer or Hartge or even Steinbauer

re: The ULTIMAT3 - F30 BMW 328i. EDIT: Upgraded with ///M Exhaust, Injen Intake & Steinbauer PowerModule

A friend was looking for a pre-owned 328i recently and we test drove one. I was completely floored by the car. This car has to be one of the best availables, based on practical point-of-view. Great looks combined with great engine+gearbox combo! The motor may just be a 2 litre one, it pulls like a train. And oh that Sports mode which makes the car go berserk on the road. Supple ride quality when compared to old E90s. We were in love with the car, until the time we looked onto the papers and found out it already had 3 owners! within 34k kms.

While we would have pursued the car as much as we loved it, we walked away from the deal. I am sorry but I ain't suggesting someone to buy a car enjoyed by 3 different individuals to the brim! That was the day and we are yet to find another 328i in the market yet!

However, this car struck me as one of the best sedans to be offered in India by BMW. Relatively small footprint on road, lovely engine with plenty of power to play with and practical too! Good to see you enjoying the Ultimat3 in India! Keep revving and wish you more n more miles munched with a plastered wide grin on the face!

Indeed, with the F30 328i N20 it was actually replacing the E90s 3L straight 6 330i, and it is much faster than that with 1000 cc & 2 less cyl (yes people still prefer the 6 cyl) but hey to put in numbers the 330i was slow for a 3L 6cyl i.e. 0-100 in 6.6 seconds. This does in 5.9 secs (some websites quote 6.1 secs). Also drivability with the older gearbox was mediocre because of lack of low end grunt.

But every BMW is special be it the 330i or this 328i

Thanks for the response Karan... The only reason I was considering this options is because of the 2 year warranty tag... I will also lookup the other options suggested...

Thanks again...

Do the rear brakes have electronic sensors too? Usually the front ones come equipped with them.
