Wow! So it is that simple a plug and play! Never realized it. I thought all three of you had installed the RD box. Also looks like finally Fiat is getting into the act n a real good way. Cant really wait to see the action heating up with new products T-jets, 1.6 MJDs and what not !

2 good service centers in the city would be more than enough. The other part is planning out a good network chain which would include Tier-II cities as well. That would help vehicle support in case of issues during long drives.

No such luck, hehe. I have just completed 7000 km, so I thought I will let the engine do some more running and settle in properly before I plonk a box into the bonnet. Only CrazyDriver bought it, the rest of us just went along with him.

Definitely agree. Vecto is providing good service for me since 2 years, and since they are the same staff who have been handling Fiats all along and continuing in Vecto, I expect good things will remain the way they are.

Expanding the network to tier-2 cities is something I would have liked to be done long ago. Not sure why they waited so long to do this. It will only dent their image in all non-metro locations too.

re: Petrol Hatch to Diesel Sedan - Fiat Linea - Now Wolfed

I made an observation yesterday after the Teambhp meet. The car was parked under hot sun. On getting inside was checking the inner rear view mirror which had tilted to the lowest position possible. On touching it, it was hot, no matter what I did to it, it would not stand in the adjusted position.

Turn the AC vents towards it to ensure the cool air blows towards the clamp. After about 20 mins, I sort of became stable.

How can I overcome this?

I have this problem too. Its because of the attached reverse sensor mirror that the cabin rear view mirror sags.

re: Petrol Hatch to Diesel Sedan - Fiat Linea - Now Wolfed

Mileage update:

40th Refill - 223 kms - 17.42 liters - 12.8 kmpl - (MID Mileage - 13.1 kmpl)average speed - 20 kmph.

Yesterday a funny thing happened. I had kept a box with a couple of thick metal plates similar to the brake pads and completely forgotten about it. While driving back home from office, every time I went over the hump a weird metal sound was giving company. I initially thought the rear suspension is busted and this weekend will need to visit the FIAT service center. Today morning I was checking the boot and this damn box was sitting behind the sub-woofer box. Took the box out and observed the drive all the way to office, now there is no metal sound when I go over potholes or humps. PHEW!

If yes, try using Android apps. They are very good. There are many good free apps out there.

I use the fuel log (use a paid version of this app which allows you to export csv)

Works very well for me.

I keep track of the FE and the respective log on the excel as well as andriod. The reports you see here are from the tankful to tankful method. I have off late started reporting the MID figures to observe the variation from the actual kmpl to MID kmpl. Though it has been quite accurate to the tune of 0.5-0.8 kmpl. I still prefer to stick to the good old method.

Will check the fuel log app, I dont mind if its a paid one too

On my Linea, in my traffic prone daily commute I get 11.7 to 12.8 kmpl, after 21500+ kms on the odo. My avg speeds in city are in the range of 11 to 16kmh. On a recent highway trip I got 20 kmpl with ac onward (downhill ghats) with avg speed of 85kmph and 16.7 kmpl on return (uphill) with average speed of 74 kmph. Car is 1 year and 17 days old now.

Nkrishnap I think I need city driving tips from you

Good job done. Is it the paint booth at Vecto motors?

No. This the Prerana's paint booth. Vecto's body shop should take another month or so. Till then the body shop of Prerana motors will be used.

Krishna, that looks like a good job. I'm curious to know why they didn't cover your wheels.

Also, was the scratch deep enough to necessitate a proper paint job? I couldn't figure that out from the pic you posted.
