^^^ You time of 4 hr 40 mins for Mumbai - Baroda run is reasonable. MY usual runs the other way round take 5 hrs ! You must have avoided the in famous traffic snarl at bharuch bridge which can easily ad a couple of hours to your time !

Yes the Narmada crossing bridge was pretty much free of traffic, But that said the timings of < 5 hrz is possible when driving non stop or with one break only (in my case one halt of 15 mins)

35,000 km Service Update;

The car was sent to Millennium Toyota(Thane) for its 35k service.

The service advisor who used to take care of her since the 1st service had resigned and so now a new SA had taken charge & IMO he did a decent job but the amount of work done to the money charged was not justified.

The work done was front & rear brake cleaning, front disc skimming & regular service, other check ups but no oil change or filters changed & the amount charged was Rs 4448/-

I dont know if i am expecting too much out of Toyota but just have a feeling that the servicing cost for this time around should have been around 3k

Will look forward to your initial thoughts and long term feedback. I will need to change the tyres after a few more thousands of kms, and had shortlisted these Contis. How much apiece?

12K is a good price! You got a set of 5 or 4?
Also what is the size of these ones?

The tyres look nice. I have heard that they are tough - which is perfect for me. But how are they for long distance highway driving? I usually have to drive hundreds, if not thousands, of kms at high speed to reach those interesting places where offroading is needed.

After seeing those roads, I was about to ask you this.

The Fortuner looks very nice wearing the monsoon colors in the pics you 've posted. Maybe the best you have posted so far

Well if you remember but again il mention that i'd got the delivery of my Bimmer on this same very road (NH8), so technically my 1st drive in my BMW was on this same very stretch and hence these curves will always remind me of her
