TFOG OTR Rajmachi;

Season 2015 of TFoggers kicked off pretty late this time around and what better place to start than the annual worship grounds of Rajmachi.
We left from Mumbai at sharp 6:30 am and reached 7:30 am @ Kamats, Lonavala for Breakfast. After leaving from Kamats at 8:30 a.m. towards the Rajmachi trail. Upon completing 40% of the trail we arrive at this;



^ This is what the state of the Rajmachi trail is currently supposedly dug up by the villagers to avoid 4x4 vehicles coming in, this was practically not possible to cross or find another way around so we skipped doing the regular trail & ended up going towarda a different section of the trail, where we found THIS;



^ This slope was damn steep and equally slippery with the rainwater gushing down.

This was where i tried attempting in HL mode but was unable to go ahead in 1st attempt so i engaged LL which made me go up in ease and went non stop like an mountain train

There were few more challenges ahead;



1st one up;

Once we arrived up, it was a flat land & that instigated BHPians to go for donuts, Manish & Satyen got at it & Satyen went so wild that we ended up losing a tyre(Puncture) - more like the tyre came off the rim sort;

In the meanwhile Manish got adventurous and managed to get stuck & this time it was DEEP & Mucky;



The rescue ops took a lot of time but no luck;



Finally had to pull out with Satyens Fortuner that too from the side as from the front or back the car was not moving at all;



This was the mess which was created in the rescuse ops of the 2 TON behemoth (+Manishs weight )

I would like to thank Karan for inviting me for the OTR. This was the first time I went with the group. Had lots of fun.

My heart was broken when the group decided to return from the dead end point but someone said lets try the other route and off we went. Really enjoyed seeing the Fortuners perform donuts.
Now waiting for the next OTR!

Update: 60,000 km Service;

The car completed 60,000 km and was sent for service to Millenium Toyota Thane like always.

The regular drill of changing the engine oil, oil filter, air filter etc, check ups.

This time around wasn't happy with the cleaning these guys did as there were some mud stains left on the seats (coz of Off roading) which i hadn't cleaned on purpose to see wether the service guys notice that or not. But sadly it was left as it is and was a very mediocre job.

Also there was no tyre polish/foam applied

I blame it on the SA as it was a different person this time.

Total bill generated for this service was Rs 9787/-

Had organised a T-FOG drive to Malshej Ghat last month;

After crossing Murbad the road becomes really beautiful;



Flawless Tarmac;



The Forts take a break @ MTDC, Malshej.



And the T-Foggers in the meanwhile feast on some breakfast;



And then we are set, and go towards a trail which would take us close to a waterbody;



A quick photoshoot;





But then MANISH had a plan for all of us and points us in a direction saying that he knows a TRAIL;



He convinces us to follow him;



And then we arrive in the Midst of Nowhere;



We go further in to the jungle trail which Manish had led us in;



Some of the T-FOGers wanted to turn back and go home as they were too scared to go ahead, BUT it was too late to abandon the group;



So we moved ahead & to our horror the trial got more Treacherous;



Finally the trail led to this scenic spot where many valleys were converging into one another and the smile on our faces says it all.

Pictures wouldn't do justice to the beauty of this place where we landed;



And there was a feeling of accomplishment on the face of all T-Foggers and in this case it was Satyen;



While returning again suddenly Manish got off the car asking who all had come for the drive without taking a Shower ? If not then a bath would be mandatory;



Guess what, it was only him who hadn't and hence

May be. Or may be injector failure or probably bad fuel causing some issues for the engine.

I would bet on battery drain or rat chew up wires.

Sorry to change the topic,
This happened yesterday when the fortuner in the picture refused to start after being parked for about half an hour.
Later on it was found that a connection below the steering wheel was left loose by the toyota peeps while installing Heads - up Display.
It is 4wd automatic fortuner bought just a few months ago and has clocked around 8800 kms.
