Re: My Silver Ford EcoSport Titanium (O) TDCi. First delivered in India!

1.I am attaching the pictures of the cargo net, it takes all my odd stuff and frees up lot of space in the boot.It gets accomodated in the scooped out area of the tail gate.

2.I have successfully covered the gap between the rear seat and the parcel tray.
Its a nice U shaped space now useful to put in small stuff.

Coverage is very good, will upload the pictures soon.Butteryfly clip is better than a hole saw fitment as it allows 4 way adjustment.
Ecosport_rules - do you know where can i order the Dual color LED strips in india? I've googled much but can't seem to find any. That is the last step in being able to put together the Projector+DRL upgrade project.

But he won't give me just the LED strips right? I plan to source stuff, use your notes and have a local chap do it for me in Pune.

What a thread!

Congratulations to you, ecosport rules!!

The modifications and the eye for the detail is very commendable! The Lights are top notch and a great choice.

Thanks for the information and it was a pleasure to go through it.

Way to go!

Why don't you check this link out? I have been thinking of doing the same too but yet to find time for it. If you do this yourself, kindly do share your feedback on it.

About the brembo brake caliper covers, wont they hamper the cooling of the calipers?
Did you use some kind of silica based glue to fix the covers onto the calipers?
Will it be a problem to service the brake if the covers are attached?
They will not hamper cooling , I have clocked 9000km til date.
Yes I have used Black silicon
No problem with service as it will lift up along with the caliper

Is that even possible, I guess these HIDs are just put into the sockets of the old bulbs.

Please do try to post pictures of the low and high beam at work.
Already posted the pictures with both beams at work

@ ecosport Rules
I am planning to upgrade my stock horns to Roots Windtone 90. Its rated 5 Amps.
Is a relay necessary for the same? I am concerned about the warranty issues

Hey sunil,
There is no need of any relay.
To avoid any warranty issues:Just make sure you getting it done at your ford dealers place using tapping clips to draw on power to the new horns
You can also fix the new horns on the same original brackets

The lighting has also improved by 250 to300 percent and now its a breeze to drive on the highway.

Regarding the wheels:
I have procured original brembo brake caliper covers which have an embossed logo as you can see second picture onwards.

I did not like the extra bright silver colour for stock alloys so got them painted in the original euro versions colour (had to work very hard to get the colour code)
I also got the roof cross bars, alloys painted and procured the original rear wiper blades (the stock looks really bad)as you can see in the first reference picture.

Will post some pictures of cross bars and rear wiper blades of my car when I get free.
Bow down to my brother car enthusiast who has such tastefully modified his wheel! You have said "I have procured original brembo brake caliper covers which have an embossed logo as you can see second picture onwards" I was keen to know weather these caliper covers would fit on XUV500 W-8? If yes where hv u got them sourced from? Thanx!
