1.What mileage do you get in city traffic?
Between 12 and 14.

2.Has the engine RPM issue solved or does it still persists?
Never came back after throttle body was replaced.

3.is the steering wheel response vague and not precise?

I drive at speeds of hundred almost everyday.
Thanks to the hyderabad ORR.
The steering is very decent being a hps unit.

4.How good is front seat with respect to back support and under thigh support in Sail Uva when compared to Swift

I drive non stop on my long distance trips.
Just two weeks back drove from hyderabad to Tenali in one day. No pain or discomfort. But then again I would do the same in my wagon r as well.

5.Bluetooth telephony how good is it in Sail UVA?
I use it to talk to my mom in almost every trip I am alone. No issues.

6.service costs
Been very reasonable.

7.Any Pick up issue with A/C
Is a small engine so yes you will feel that the AC places a load. But not like how it was in my wagon. This is acceptable.

Should one go for the free maintenance for 3 years/100,000kms offered by Chevrolet or the Chevrolet Promise schemes is better? The free maintenance scheme costs Rs. 25,000/-. Please advise. Thanks!

After hearing few bad experience with Chevy Cars with fellow bhpians, I would advise take the CPCOO, my Chevy Spark was really light on maintenance for 3 years and then my Beat diesel is serving its second owner with low expenses in the 3rd year. Its worth the money.

What is CPCOO? Sorry, I'm a newbie on this forum and topic.

Also, people are dissuading me from getting this car. They say that after 3 years is when you actually start getting looted in terms of maintenance as parts are expensive and the build is bad.

But I test drove this vehicle and I like it. Planning to get one this week. Valuable inputs appreciated. Thanks!

They are offering extended 3rd & 4th year warranty for another 5500+. Is it worth opting for it? The sales guy says I'll not need it as my driving requirement does not warrant it (in a week I'll probably drive an average of 100kms with 3-4 out-station drives in a year to states around Delhi).

Is the 3rd & 4th year warranty worth it? It comes at an additional cost of about Rs. 5500/-. The sales guy said that I need not take it as my usage would be very less ( about an average of 100km a week and the occasional out-station trips to the states around Delhi maybe 3-4 times a year).

Extended warranty is always good to have. Please get the same.

Which variant are you buying and what is the offer like.
Do check the vin to be absolutely sure it's a new car.

VIN stands for "Vehicle Identification Number"

You can use the below link to decode your VIN & know the year/month of manufacture.

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/buyin...cture-vin.html (ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN))

CPCOO stands for Chevrolet Promise Cashless Ownership Offer, don't worry much about GM petrol cars, they are the best, leave people's perception about GM vehicles it will never change. Chevy were doing good till they launched Beat Diesel, problem started thereafter. Go for the extended warranty if you will really keep the vehicle for more than 5 years.

What was the problem with them? Asking because my cousin owns one and I haven't heard of any problem whatsoever!

re: BBLost's Chevrolet Sail UVA: 100k. Full Suspension Overhaul.

They sidelined Spark and promoted Beat Diesel. Beat failed miserably for GM, followed by Sail Diesel and then Enjoy Diesel...a series of flops. No offense to Beat Diesel, it is still a good car for city use.

Approximately two years back I paid 6.47 for my LT Variant.
That included car, registration and insurance (50% NCB).
I also got the exchange bonus for selling my old car.

So it does look like a decent deal. But I have no idea what is the current offers on this car.

They are saying they will provide VIN only on delivery time, but they have provided engine and chassis number. So do I insist them to give the VIN?

AFAIK, Its not possible for them to know the Engine and Chassis Number and not know the VIN Number.

Something fishy. Please do not allow the car to be registered without a visual inspection.
Print out the VIN check from
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/buyin...ml#post2249662 (ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN))

Use this to decode in less than 2 mins.

Just asking as I'm not very knowledgeable on this - how old is acceptable?
The present status is - I had made an initial payment of 1 lac. The remaining amount I plan to give by cheque, once the dealer confirms to me the status of the vehicle (which should happen by tomorrow afternoon). I'm informed that the vehicle is on a trailer en-route from Halol.

Please advise on how to proceed with this deal. The dealer also days that the vehicle will be given only after realization of the cheque. Thanks!
